I hope everyone has a fun this weekend. I was coming home from Boston yesterday (10/5). I think I saw a few of you headed out. I have to go back on Sunday for another week. Hopefully I'll get to get out to one of these.

Hi All!

Just got back from the M&G and between getting the Sunline partly unloaded and dinner and catching up on email and real mail and all the other stuff ya gotta do when ya get back from campin', I am plumb out of time for the night.

BUT! I did create a shutterfly account and upload some of the pictures from Sunday morning to share with all of you.

The link for the pics is:

http://stevecollins.shutterfly.com/?...r&linkid=link5

and the password is: sunline

I will add captions to the pics when time permits.

Short version is we had a blast!

If it was on the NY Thruway somewhere between the Victor & Utica exits between 2 - 5pm it was probably us again.
One of these days, we'll have to head in the same direction to the same locations

Hey Everyone,

Just returned from the Fall M&G at Nicks Lake in Old Forge, NY.

Another Fantastic Time at a Sunline M&G. If you haven’t attended one, I would highly recommend you do. This was our 2nd and we had a great time at both.

We would like to thank:
Steve, Kathy, & Mike for all their work in coordinating and setup.
Kathy – for the goodie bag filled with all the neat stuff and getting the gathering area site.
Mike – for the canopy for our gathering area.
Gail – for the fantastic cake. What a decorating job!
Paul – for the fantastic guitar playing during our Saturday night camp fire.
Everyone for the great food!!!!

Some how Paul & Sheri got the only site with Water & Electric. Look closely to the right front of the trailer and you’ll see the electric & water hook-ups. You’ll have to ask Paul about that

I’m going to have to look into reserving that site next year – I think someone was sandbagging us.

When backing into our site, our mud flap acted as a scraper, raking all the leafs up. I got out of the truck and started laughing.

Hare are some more pictures of the event to share.
The road to the Gathering area. Sunline sites 52, 53, & 55 are on the left.

The Gathering area.

Pictures from the Pot Luck Dinner

Lot’s of food

Steve will be posting a picture of the cake Gail made - it was fantastic.

Pictures from Sunday Morning Brunch

The Attendees (Jon – I included pictures of the Sunlines just for you :P ):
Kathy & Leo (aka Pappa & Nana) – Site 45

Paul & Sheri (aka pwbo1 & Sunlinesheri) – Site 47

Mike & Judy (aka mbart5fan) – Site 52

Doug & Lorie (aka canoe2) – Site 53

Harvey & Jan (aka heaton) – Site 55

Tom & Mary (aka PTHutch & MAHutch) – Site 37

Steve & Gail (aka Steve Collins) – Site 38

Thanks to everyone for such a great week-end. We had a fantastic time.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures.

Thanks for posting the pics. Though I wish I was there, I had a great weekend myself. How were the temps there? We had mid to high 80's the whole weekend. I don't think we've ever ran the genny so much with the AC on! I'll have to post some pics later. I thought about you guys last night when I was at a gas station. I was cleaning the windshield and my mom starts pointing. I thought she was pointing to a spot I missed, but she was actually pointing out a '02 2370 pulling into the gas station across the street. I ran and grabbed the camera to take a pic:

Hi,

I just wanted to thank everyone who helped organize the Nick's Lake meet and greet. This is the first one of these that Lorie and I have attended and we had a really good time.

Great company, great weather, great food and a great place to meet. What more could one want?

It was interesting to see everyone's outfits and to see what people have done to customize their trailers and set ups. I came away with a bunch of new ideas and made a lot friends. Thanks!

Tom & Steve, thanks for posting your pictures.

No rain, sprinkled maybe once or twice. Great temps too, mid 70’s during the day. The weather really cooperated at Nicks Lake, not sure who we can thank for that.

Bob, we could see the line of dark clouds just to the north of us when the front went through on Saturday. We just squeaked out getting pounded with a thunderstorm or two.

Otherwise, the weather was truly awesome. We've been snowed upon at Nick's Lake during Columbus Day weekend in past years, so this is truly wonderful.

We did kick the heat on in the trailer on Thursday night, but not for the rest of the weekend.

Brilliant scenery, perfect weather, great campground and wonderful people. How good does it get. Thanks everyone and thanks Steve for the photos and Kathy and Leo for your work to organize this. It was a perfect weekend.

P.S. I hear that next year there may be more sites with utilities.

Our best regards to all.................

YUP! I think just about everyone is thinking of "upgrading" to a site "just like yours!"

Well Leo and I just pulled in, started to unload the TT for winterizing this week and decided na - not just yet!

Our thanks to everyone for such a wonderful weekend! Good weather, great food and lots of "wonderful new" friends! This event could not have worked without everyone "doing" their own thing! Tarps, stove, music, everyone thought and brought something!

To all of you who had to leave on Sunday, you all missed out on a wonderful spread of food "again" at dinner time!

Some talk among the women was to have a "recipe" section on the forum....what do you monitors think?????

Here's the group picture from the M&G.

Left to right, standing: Kathy (Nana), Mike (mbart5fan), Leo (Poppy), Judy (Mrs. mbart5fan), Gail (Mrs. Steve), Harvey & Jan (heaton), Doug & Lorie (canoe2), Paul (pwb01), Sheri (sunlinesheri), Tom (PTHutch), and Mary (MAHutch). Kneeling is your's truly (which is the only place I could think to go after setting the timer on the camera... )

I'm still working on pictures and will have more as I get them sorted out.

Well, we made it back this afternoon and have been taking care of all the cleanup associated with "after camping". For those who left Sunday, it finally rained late that night, and all the pretty leaves that fell on the awning were tedious to sweep off. And then there was the line at the dump station. But what a Great Weekend. We definitely want to do this again (did I hear someone mention spring ADK M&G). Steve and Tom, thanks for posting the pictures, I'll get some of mine posted as soon as I get them on the PC.

Mike
