Adirondack campground
My wife and I plan to camp in the Adirondacks this July/August and we were thinking that it might be a good idea to camp where the Adirondack M&G is held. Can anyone tell me which campground it is since I see a number of CG's listed as "Nick's Lake"
Thanks,
Rich

It's Nick's Lake, just outside of Old Forge, NY. I am not sure where you are looking that you would see multiple campgrounds with the same name. aFAIK, there is only one in the Park.
Any of the loops are good and reserveamerica.com's info on each site is pretty accurate.

Thanks Steve, I don't know how I got that idea either now that I'm checking it again, but I tried calling them and they are closed. What I'd like to know is do they have any sites with hookups? Mainly, we would want electric, but W&S would be helpful since we plan on staying for the week. Do you know?
Thanks,
Rich

DEC campgrounds are closed in the winter.
Nicks Lake - NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation for DEC's info on the campground.
Campground Details - Nicks Lake Campground, NY - ReserveAmerica - [NY] for details and reservations.
None of the DEC parks in the Adirondacks have hookups.
If you require hookups, try Old Forge Camping Resort: Adirondack Vacation Camping, NY, Cabins, Cottages, RV, Tent Sites

I think the problem Rich is that any DEC campground this time of the year would take 3 days to plow their way to the rangers station to answer the phone.
