2020 WNY M&G Sign-Up

When:
Thursday, September 17th - Sunday, September 20th, 2020

Where:
Southwoods RV Resort
6749 Townline Road
Byron, NY 14422
Lat = -78.0360; Long = 43.0775

We have reserved the inside pavilion in the middle of the hill circle sites for our activities.
We have reserved the pavilion for Friday, & Saturday
We need a minimum of 10 sites to have the inside pavilion free of charge.
Otherwise, there's a $150 charge for use of the pavilion.
If there's a charge for the pavilion, its cost will be shared between attendees.

Note: The sites on the hill that surround the pavilion are Water & Electric sites and are identified as H## sites.

Call Southwoods and reserve your site now for the 2020 WNY M&G.

Please post a reply to this thread if you've submitted a reservation request and when you get your confirmation.
With your reservation confirmation post, please include:

Believe it or not, Southwoods is starting to take reservations for the 2020 camping season.

We've reserved our site for the 2020 SOC WNY M&G at Southwoods.

JohnB and CindyB are returning to visit the WNY M& G! YEH

It's been a while since we have been able to come, but the dates seemed to work out for next year.

Just made our reservation.

We are arriving Thurs, 9/17, departing Mon 9/21/20, 4 nights site M36. 2004 T310SR.

As FYI, as of this post date, Southwoods has sites M55, B11-B15 available. I didn't check the circle up by the pavillion. There is someone else for a month in M37.

See you all in September next year.

So glad you and Cindy are able to join us next year. I've updated the list in the OP to include you.

Thanks for the update on the currently available sites. The campground gets filled up fast. A lot of people are renting the full hook-up sites by the month.

It is with a a lot of regret that I'm withdrawing from this year's Southwoods. Much as I dislike it, I'm mostly home-bound at present due to my potential susceptibility to Covid-19 and some related medical concerns....which won't be eliminated by late summer. I've called and spoken with Paul @ Southwoods, withdrawing my reservation.

Be careful out there. Hope to see you in 2021.

Did Paul refund your deposit?
Hope to see you in 2021 - not sure if Paul told you but they are taking reservations for 2021 camping season now.

Paul tried his darnedest to refund it or credit it to next year. I insisted he keep it as a pay-it-forward. His is a place that'll need a lot of support to keep on providing their type and generosity of service.

Thanks for asking.....and I'll think about 2021 a bit.

To all attending the WNY M&G, due to the COVID-19 pandemic there'll need to be changes made on the M&G activities.

All events will be cancelled with the exception of nightly campfires.

Here are guidelines that we hope everyone will be respectful of and follow:
> Maintain 6 feet social distance, including at nightly campfires.
> Wear a mask when the 6 feet social distance cannot be maintained.
> Everyone to prepare their own meals and eat at their sites.
> No sharing of food.

It's all about being smart and safe and keeping everyone healthy.

We've followed these guidelines at the Buttonwood and Ives Run M&G and were still able to have a good time visiting each other.

Hopefully next year will be better.

Hutch,

Due to recent COVID activity, Ohio was placed on NY's travel advisory list last night which requires registering and a 14 day self quarantine in NY before moving about. Being 9 days out from coming to this years M & G, we cannot meet the NY requirements. Bummer...

We have to cancel for this year. We did sign up for next year.
