It still requires social distancing (6 feet) and I think masks. My excitement is in being able to visit beyond your immediate family but not exceed groups of 25. That will be determined by how Buttonwood wants to manage I guess.

Thanks Brad for the info.

That's very similar to NYS - "when social distancing can't be maintained masks are required".

You're correct, we'll have to see what Buttonwood responds and if and how they change their restrictions.

It's definitely a positive.

We will let you guys know how things go. Since our reservations for next weekend have been cancelled and we couldn't get in anywhere, I called Buttonwood and they had a site for us. Looks like we'll be making back to back trips to Buttonwood this year.

Amy checked their website this morning.

While many things will still be restricted/limited here's a snippet from their announcement for operation during the Yellow phase: "We can allow multiple households to interact on the same site if they are still maintaining the recommended 6-foot distance between all households. Masks are encouraged to be worn even at this distance."

Slim chance until we actually go, that Juniata County might move into the Green phase that weekend. [emoji1696] Don't know what that means yet other than fewer restrictions and more openings.

Camper is uncovered; going to de-winterize today!

Hi Brad,

Thank-you to Amy for checking Buttonwood's status and you posting the information.

Things are looking promising.

However, on the side of caution, we'll be cancelling all "planned" activities for this year's Buttonwood M&G.

We'll figure out what we want to do based on what the individual attendees feel comfortable with and what Buttonwoods restrictions are at the time we are there.

At least we'll be able to see everyone while wearing masks and social distancing.
Who's going to bring the 6 ft pole to confirm social distancing

Thanks again for keeping us updated on Buttonwood's restrictions.

We are on your site right now.
Nancy stopped and was talking to us and didn't have a mask on. She did keep her distance. You are allowed in the office/ store, but only 1 family at a time. Several sites have had larger groups of people. Other than the play areas, pool and things like that, most things are normal.

I know this is real late in the game, but are there any openings for the Buttonwood M&G? We are about 2 1/2 hours from the campground.

I would suggest you call Buttonwood to see if there's a site available.
Their phone # is (717) 436-8334

Buttonwood doesn't reserve any sites for our M&G, so it's all dependent on if there is a site available for you.

If there is a site available, you're more then welcome to join us (at a safe distance )

Currently, Buttonwood is full for June 12 weekend (no surprise there). Wait-listed as of now.

That's too bad, maybe a site will open up.
If not there's always next year.
Hope to see you either this year or next year.

With much disappointment we have canceled our reservation for the M&G in June. With my compromised immune system, it is safer for me to be home. We were so much looking forward to seeing everyone but not this year. Wishing all of you a great trip.

Fully understand - with the current situation, I think you're doing the right thing. Need to keep yourself and family safe.

We hope to see you next year. Hopefully by then things will be back to normal.

That's good; I think as long as people remain sensible I wouldn't expect that we would have any issues. Especially since our numbers are dwindling.

Diane, sorry to hear that you had to cancel. I saw that last night and was able to call first thing this morning and we jumped into your spot in order to keep our group a little closer together since we were the farthest away from everyone.

Hutch, we added Thursday night to our stay and we are now on Site 134. It sounded like Buttonwood had a waiting list so hopefully one of our members got lucky enough to get Site 65.

Looking forward to seeing who we can! Everyone stay safe!

That's awesome, we'll all be in close proximity now. That'll make it much more enjoyable.

I've updated the attendee list in the OP.

See you in a few weeks. Can't wait.

You gave up site 65? I think that is one of the nicest sites in the campground. But it will be nice to get everyone grouped together. While we were their last weekend, we were saying it would be nice to get the sites all around 65 like it used to be.

Things look promising for Juniata County being in the green phase on June 12th. There are counties that are going green on June 5th that have more cases than Juniata County.
God, our county now has a higher percentage than Philadelphia. It must be NJ sending their sick people across the border.

I'll say we gave it up temporarily; I was just fortunate enough to see Diane's cancellation post and thought due to circumstances for this year we might should take advantage of that. Thank you Diane! Hope you can join us for next year!

We will probably try to reserve site 65 for next year if we can get back on it in hopes the M/G grows next year. We agree that it is one of the nicest sites there!

We camped at Cowan's Gap State Park this weekend, and other than social distancing it's been the most normal thing we've seen so far! Hoping the M/G goes just as well!

Safe travels for everyone; for those not coming, stay healthy and safe and we'll hope to see you all next year!

-Brad
