We would like to go, but it is a work weekend. It's been a long time since we been to a M&G. We may have to start the Western MD M&G back up some time soon. We are going to take our Sunny out soon. It has been resting for awhile..

Time for an update:

I had the surgery on my heel in the 12th and am now in a tempory cast until the 29th of July when I see the doctor. I expect to get a full cast then and be in it until mid-September. If all goes well, I move to a walking boot and can begin putting weight on the foot.

So that pretty much means that we won't be able to come to the M&G with the trailer and truck. I won't be driving until I have the walking boot and maybe not even then.

I just cancelled the reservation on Site 37 for Friday through Monday. If anyone wants to grab it, it's available now on Reserve America.

We really had high hopes of seeing all of you and getting out one more time before the season ends, but if I want to walk normally again, it has to be this way.

Gail and I have talked about day-tripping up there on Saturday, but no decision at this time.

Well, that is a bummer, but you must do what's best to get your foot healed up and back to normal of course ! I hope the day trip works out !!

Hello ALL. Yup Sheri (of the Paul & Sheri comedy team). I haven't signed in since 2007 cause Paul is usually the one on this site. We are so looking forward to our Old Forge Trip. 10 days of total bliss! I don't think we've ever camped that long at once. Hope everyone is well. Paul is back to new. I really hope Gail & Steve can make it up for a day or two. Would like to touch base with Chairman Steve about a Potluck List and his ideas about the White Elephant/Chinese Grab Bag too. Have a happy day all. : )

Another update for you and everyone else:

The cast from the surgery was removed on the 29th and they found a small ulcer on my ankle, caused by the post-surgery cast. So I am in a boot already and seeing the doc weekly just to check on the progress of the healing of the ulcer. We were back on the 5th and it's doing well. For those who've had a cast on their foot for a long time, you'll know that being able to take a shower with the cast is big deal and that's where I am now.

I don't think this will accelerate the schedule when I will be able to put weight on the foot or be able to drive, but it sure has improved my state of mind.

The M&G is on our calendar and we're still planning on day tripping up to see all of you.

Another thought (uh-oh, the senior blonde is having a thought!); Paul & I have tons of DVDs that we have watched over and over again. Would anyone be interested in a DVD SWAP? If it's a yes, we could do it at our Thurs evening Coffee/Dessert social at our site #47 or Friday evening gathering at the Club Site #54. Any other Swaps (not Wife/Hubby for some of you kidders) that we may want to do? Ideas?

The Moose is really slooowwww no rain no water in the river....let me check - we might be able to do a trip but I need to check with friends to see how long it takes from North Street to Greenbridge.......a trip we don't do!

When we get on the river we normally do a 5 to 6 hour trip...... which may be too long for those who need to prepare for the pot luck dinner..... I'll post more when I make a few calls.!

Kathy

OK - we can put in at North Street & come out at Tickner's it is a 7 1/2 mile trip and about 4 hours - they will transport us & our boats to North Street at a cost of $5.00 per boat/person.....

Rental fees are:
$42.00 = canoe
$26.00 = single kayak
$36.00 = single larger kayak
$42.00 = tandem kayak
