2016 Adirondack M&G - Canoe/Kayak Trip

Plan A
We can put in at North Street & come out at Tickner's it is a 7 1/2 mile trip and about 4 hours - they will transport us & our boats to North Street at a cost of $5.00 per boat/person.....

Rental fees are:
$42.00 = canoe
$26.00 = single kayak
$36.00 = single larger kayak
$42.00 = tandem kayak

or Plan B

If everyone has their own vessels, we can leave some vehicles at Greenbridge and "get cozy" and double up - drive up to North Street, put in and paddle to Greenbridge....load up and go back and pick up our vehicles.

I would suggest leaving Nick's Lake at 10:00 am with hopes to be on the river by 10:30 am!!!!!

We had a massive amount of rain the past few days and the river is up - I can tell without even looking at it.....our sump pump in the basement is going on and off......so we can hope that the river is not as slow as it has been.

Sign up below, indicating Plan A or Plan B and how many and do you havE your own vessel!

Can't wait until September!!!!!

Plan A or B does not matter to us, whichever most people feel comfortable with!
we have our own (2) kayaks

Since (I think) all of us are there on Friday is the kayak/canoe trip an option for Friday if it is the better day weather-wise?

OK CHANGE IN PLANS

Kayak trip will be Friday and Tickner's is closed for the 90 miler......so we will have to transport our vessels to North Street to put in and paddle to Greenbridge.....about 4 1/2 hour easy paddle.....so figure 5 hours to be sure.

Plan on leaving Nick's at 9:45 am - pack a lunch and drinks of course.....

We can load up Thursday night and be ready to go on Friday.....we will have to talk about who will be able to take how many kayaks (6)/canoe (1) and how many people can fit into a vehicle....I can leave my Escape at Greenbridge and transport the drivers back to North Street to pick up their vehicles, while someone else stays with our gear at Greenbridge.....

We'll chat next Thursday!!!!! Can't wait! Our daughter is here for the weekend and kayaking is on their agenda for Sunday.....so may be going out then too!!!!

Will those planning on going please let me know you read this post!!!!!

Sounds fine. Kathy, we can take 3 kayaks - our two kayaks plus one more ... and perhaps 4-5 people in the truck if we clean it out. Is there plenty of parking at North Street?

yes....but I figure if we can manage with 2 or 3 trucks we will be just fine!!!!! We can fit 3 in ours + 6 people! Keech can you fit any in the kayaks in the bed of your truck???

Greenbridge is tight on paring but if push comes to shove I can walk the block to our home and pick up my vehicle......

Will you be able to walk after 4 1/2 hrs. in the kayak?? (LOL) but seriously... hope we will get out at some point to stretch !
