Welcome to eastern Denny's, Jon.

They're infamous for slow service.

After the kayak trip, as we were packing our kayaks up, some boys at the river's edge told us to watch out for the bird with the eggs. We looked and there was a bird standing on the gravel. Looking loser, we realized it was a mother with her eggs. Turns out, this is a Killdeer which lays it's speckled eggs among stones to camouflage them. Here's a photo.

We had to look close to see they are eggs and not stones. Seems like an odd place to have a nest since we and others were driving very close to get our kayaks, but I guess mom knows what she's doing!

Thank you everyone for your kind words. The Meet and Greet was so much fun. Al and myself had a wonderful time. Thank you for all your help with the events. We could not have done it without all of you.
I will post a listing for next years event. The sites that you had this year will automatically be reserved for 2017 and held until4/1/17. Please call the office to confirm your dates as soon as you can. Looking forward to next year!

FYI, my new grandaughter arrived yesterday, 10 days early. 9lbs 4oz 21" long. Mom and baby are doing well. I guess we got home just in time.

Congrats Kathy ! And many thanks from us as well. You did so much to make the Meet and Greet go smoothly. It was lots of fun and we enjoyed catching up with everyone!

We spent some time in Watkins Glen and had fun, even made it to the top of the Glen this time. Championship baseball games (kids) in the diamond right behind the camper and we had fun watching both nights. Uneventful ride home which was good.

Thanks again.
