2015 Buttonwood River Trip
Who is interested in doing the river trip this year?
Who would be interested in doing a different section of the river? Possibly going further upstream and doing the Narrows section back to the campground. 9 miles/4hours as apposed to the normal 5 miles/3 hours

Are you planning to use Buttonwood's livery service? Steve will go for sure. I'm still thinking about it Steve would like a longer trip, but says you may need to start it earlier.

The livery service would be the easiest, but we can decide after we know how many people are going

Please let us know what the final plans are so we can include these in the welcome packet for our members.
Are rentals made through Buttonwood office? Deposits? Livery service?
We will need this information by Monday night if possible please.

Yes, how does this work? We don't have equipment (our boat has pontoons and a motor!) but this sounds like fun if everything is available for rent.

Is the river swift? We kayak here on quiet ponds and lakes, but are a bit unsure of going on the river. Also, our backs probably would not stand a four hour trip !

We probably won't have a final plan in place until Friday night after talking to everyone that wants to go. Tom and Debbie, the river is very slow and calm. Most kayaks aren't to uncomfortable on the back. And you can always do a shorter trip.

Geanne & Clyde,
Buttonwood owns and operates "Juniata River Adventures" which is a mile or so up river of the campground. Rates and contact info can be found on their website Juniata River Adventures - More About Our River Trips
Have fun!!
