Fire, Not Rain

Jim, John, Everybody,

As your fire captain, I intend to keep the rain away by using fire. Old Indian trick, yes ?

Looking forward cool nights by the fire, and pleasant days in the sun. (?)

I am going to call and ask to move to site 15 instead of 16 so there isn't another hole in our Group. I intend to get there by 3:00 myself. Can't wait for sunny skies and starry nights!

Starry Skies

Hi, Joan, Hi, Jim, Hi Everybody,

Good move Joan. Might as well keep us all together.

And, like Jim says: come on, everybody ! The weather report has improved. Looks like more sun than clouds for the weekend, and perfect temperatures (I think).

Hey, Jim, I know you'll be bringing fire wood. How much do you think you'll have ? Doing inventory, you know. Guessing if we'll have to bring more. And I know Jack is bringing some, too. Hey, Jack, how much do YOU have ? See you all there.

Fire Captain, signing off !

Dennis

We may get out in July the way things are going!

Gobbs of Firewood

Jim,

Man, that's GREAT to hear ! As Fire Captain, I say "No worries, Mate !" You two (w/ Jack) will bring ALL the wood, JohnB will bring the starter. All I have to bring is my Pyromania . . . . and I've got lots of that . . . and stories to tell.

Hello, up there, Poppy and Nana. I'd ask you how was the weather, but I think you already told us . . . . . But, don't be too jealous: it's still been a little chilly here around the Great Lakes. In fact, ponder this: we are scheduled into our favorite campground on Lake Superior on June 23rd. We've giving it a 50 / 50 chance that the lake will still have ice ! So, don't be too jealous . . . but thanks for thinking of us !

Dennis

Lighter Fluid

Hey, Jim,

Yes, they do, and I can certify that charcoal lighter fluid on top of the motor oil is a guaranteed combination. Produces very fine conflagrations.

I don't think I can come Friday. I can't travel in the rain as there is no way to protect my rig. Not knowing where the leak is I need the awning up to protect the door. And by the time I get there it will be raining.

Saturday is going to be nice I could come then but I only get one day. Anyone staying Sunday?

I hope everyone enjoys the weekend and the weather cooperates. We were looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting those new to the Midwest M&G, but my son had other plans for Charlie's b'day, then after today we wouldn't have been able to tow. The guys are going to Norwalk for the races (maybe they'll see Mike & Rose). On the way home from work today, a Ford Focus tried to take on the F150, so they had to make a quick change of plans and they will be riding with my son's friend. The Focus hit hard enough to shift the bed, and tear up the bumper and 7-prong plug. Definitely not happy!, but hoping you'll all be happy campers!
