Hi Denny,

Thanks for checking in for us. You are doing your camp consultant role well!

Quote:
she is releasing sites 21 thru 30
You mentioned she is releasing site 21 to 30, did you mean 22 to 30, the pulls in's behind us? Jim and Darlene are in site 21.

If that was a typo it would fit as there are 4 open sites in our tear drop shaped area. Which would be the 4 sites she is holding for us, Site 15,17,29 & 20 being the 4 open ones.

Let us know and I can update the map.

Thanks

John

Correction

John, Jim and Everyone,

Yes, you are correct. I slipped a digit when typing. It was 22 through 30 that Carol released back into circulation. The wedge of sites where we all are located will remain, as well as the ones that are still open. The 4 open sites will be ours until the day of arrival. It's everything across the road that opened back up.

Carol said that she will try to keep some open sites starting at 22, just in case we fill the 4 empty ones we already have.

Sorry for the confusion.

Dennis

Hi All,

I have had to back out of this commitment this year. Please still have lots of fun and report back on how things went at the new location.

Sounds good, thanks John! And yes, I still remember driving around with my laptop and Hutch on Skype haha. Now I could do that with my phone so much easier!

Well we were really hoping to be able to attend this years meet and greet but previous commitments will not allow us this year. We had heard this was going to be in June so we already purchased tickets for the races in Norwalk that weekend. Mendon Ohio is really close and we may try to stop out and at least meet everyone if time allows. We will not plan anything in May of 2015 and hopefully we can make it next year.

Hi Everyone,

We are now in countdown mode! Seemed like May would never get here with this rotten winter we have had and now our M & G is quickly approaching.

If you know what you are bringing for the Friday night campfire snacks and the pot luck, let me know and I will update the list. I have updated the list tonight from a few recent messages. You can PM, or Email me or post here and I will update your fixing's.

Thanks

John

Saturday Activities

Wanna see what others have done with their Sunny?

Is there any interest for a Saturday afternoon Sunny show and tell? A time to show off your Sunny to the group and any of those special mod's you have done?

For those who want to participate, we can pick a time after lunch on Saturday and then we all just move as a group from camper to camper. When we come to your camper, you are the host! After showing and telling we all move to the next camper.

Any interest? Please post so we can find out how many want to participate.

PS. If your better half sees this neat mod someone has done, and this later turns into a project for "you"... Remember, you volunteered for the tour ... Please, don't shoot the organizer..

Hitch Help at the M & G

Having towing problems? or cannot get your WD hitch to work right, have any towing questions?

We are glad to help, just let me know and we will work something out over the weekend. If you know now before the M & G you would like to talk on this or need help making some hitch adjustments, PM me "before" the campout so I line up the needed tools to help with your specific hitch.

Anyone want to know your loaded camper tongue weight? We make house calls. . Just let me know and we can weigh your camper tongue weight right at your campsite. Take less than 10 minutes. (That is unless we get into a 15 minute yak session before hand...)

Thanks

John

WOW! I have a lot of cleaning and preparing to do! I have not even gotten my Sunny out of storage yet but its on tap for this week.

I would volunter to be in show & tell but it might be more interesting to the ladies since most of mine (except the new floor) are of a interior design mod. However, LOVE to see anyone's mods as I am always looking for improvements! And I would be interested in getting loaded camper tongue weight

Thanks John

Hi Joan,

Yes, Cindy is craft maker. She uses cloth, yarn and material on camper mods where I use wood and steel... Don't worry us guys will find something to amuse ourselves with while the women are on a good yak session.

I pulled the camper over this weekend and washed roof, all sides, the awning, 303 treated the roof and plastic and sanitized the water system in one day... I'm beat.... There is a lot of square inches on a T310SR...

We will get you fixed up on a tongue weight, no problem.

I was going to get mine out of storage today BUT it rained all day

I keep a Sherline trailer tongue weight scale in my trailer so it will be at the M&G.

The rain has put me behind too!

washed roof, all sides, the awning, 303 treated the roof and plastic and sanitized the water system in one day

Yup I do all of that plus the inside and I may have to do it in one day too!

I also check vents, test furnace and stove and have dealer do a propane check fills tanks and check out the roof and...then there is loading it up!! :-O

Wonderful! I may have my house sold and if so plan on doing some full timing before I buy another. So there are some things I definitely need to attend to in order to full time for an extended period

Fire Captain Checking In

Hi, Everyone,

This is your campfire captain checking in. I've been out of town, and just now getting back in the groove. I've read the posts, and understand that Jack and Jim will be bringing the firewood. I'll bring my expertise, such as it is, and some fire starter.

We don't have too many mods to show on our Sunline: more, perhaps in the "hardware" mode than "software" mode, i.e.: things guys like vs. things girls like. But our place is open for the "open house". The cats will go hide, so no worries.

Site 12 has been vacated by Jon (Sunlinefan) who can't make it. That leaves a hole in the middle of our group. I'm throwing out the idea of buying that site from the campground and leaving it open, as a utility area. Any opinions on this ?

Marie and I will most likely be on site by 3:00 pm that Friday, and we'll be available to help with whatever setup the rest of you might need.

Hoping for pleasant days, and cool (campfire) nights ! See you there.

Dennis & Marie

Hi Everyone,

A few updates and reminders,

We are now 12 nights away and we will soon be in camp! YEH!!!!

Site 12 has now been reserved and is the Group Gathering Site. I have large canopy I am borrowing from my son and a few others have smaller ones. We can set up so we can get 3 picnics table under the one big one and others can be a cover for pot luck food serving etc. If you would like to contribute to help offset the cost of the Group Gathering site, see John or Denny during the campout.

A reminder if you know now what you are bringing for the campfire Cracker Barrel, Saturday breakfast or the pot luck, post here or PM JohnB so we can update the list.

It appears there may be at least 3 of us getting in early on Friday. I hope to be at camp by 3:30PM ish. Anyone liking to dine together with us for supper on Friday, let Denny and I know. It will be bring your own supper and we will just site down together to dine at a time we sort out at camp, but will be approx. during the 5:30 to 6:00PM time frame at the Gathering Site 12. Will confirm on Friday.

Really looking forward to this campout. Due to "things" getting in the way of our camping habit , this will be our first campout of the year. We are going to have a great time!

Thanks

John
