We looked at Heritage Springs Campground in Vanlue, Ohio last week, forgot our camera but here is a link that shows some of the campground including a map. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Herit...=photos_stream
The following sites are full hook-up, 13, 14, 15, 30, 31, 32. There are a few others that are not rented out to seasonal campers, but they would be very scattered among the seasonal crowd.
The following are water and electric, so some of us that do not need full service could go there and still be close to the rest, 3 thru 10, & 35 thru 42.
Address: 13891 Township Road 199, Vanlue, Ohio 45890, Phone 419-387-7738.
Sandy is the owner/manager said normally she is not full on the weekend we selected, June 20, 21, 22. She goes to Florida in the winter and normally arrives back in Ohio mid April, Opening the 1st of may, will need to call her cell phone if you want to make reservations before mid April, I have her cell # if we really need it.
The price is $30 plus Tax per night, full service or water and electric.
This is a nice Campground, catch and release fishing, swimming in the pond, playground could stand a little work, can ride into town, where there is a nice small town restaurant, not to far away is Indian Trail Caverns, an approximate hour tour is $8.00.
We will also check on Lake Cody Near Cairo, Ohio, Their website list their 2012 rate at $24-27 per night, but we will have more later.

Looked at Lake Cody tonight, should have a PDF file to post here of the campground brochure soon. he cost for all sites is $25 all are full service. They have cable-vision thru-out the camp site, but only WiFi in part of the camp this year, hopefully may have thru-out by next year. They suggest one person collect deposits and make the reservations as a group in Mid April, that is when they start reservations for next year. Depending on if we get a super turn out they may not be able to keep us all in a block, but will keep us a close as possible They do not accept plastic, only cash or checks, but that is the same with Heritage Springs in Vanlue. We liked Lake Cody Much better than Heritage Springs. We will be looking at 2 other campgrounds then we will leave it up to the Group. If necessary We will produce a form with the information the selected campground needs, and collect the deposits and make the reservations in mid April.
We plan on visiting Hidden Lake in Sylvania, Ohio next Saturday, and want to see Sulphur Lake Campground in Williamstown, Ohio. Our feelings were with Lake cody Only about 8 miles from the intersection of I-75 & US RT 30, it would have good access from E/W or N/S. Sulphur Lake is about 20 miles from this intersection.

Jack, there are 3 more in the area of Hidden Lake.
Twin Acres on Rt 64, north of Rt 295 - A friend had a seasonal there and is now in a park model year round. She said they do have groups come in. Not sure of cost.
Big Sandy's on Rt 295 off of Alt Rt 20 - I could pick my ex's brain on this one, he has a seasonal there.
Blue Grass on Rt 64 - don't know anything about this one.

Eagle Lake Camping Resort In Gibsonburg Ohio. Very nice place with a large lake that has swimming and fishing. Cost is reasoable and all sites are full hook up.
Eagle Lake is located about 5 miles south of Route 20 on Route 600.
We know the people as we camped there many times and would be glad to talk to them if needed.

I have no objection to Eagle Lake, But I will not have time to check out everyone's close to home campground. If you want to check it out and make a recommendation, Feel free to send it to Jon.
Mike71654, I don't remember you from any of the past M&G, perhaps we were not there at the same time.

Twin Acres does not look bad as far as I can see, if you want to check it out and send the information on. $30 per night water sewer & 30 amp electric, $35 per night water sewer and 50 amp electric. Do not accept credit or debit cards cash or check only, so someone would have to collect the reservations and deliver and make reservations if I see things correct to try to get us together as much as possible, also this is the week end of their car show, so expect it to be crowded. I am still open to it if someone wants to check it out.
Big Sandy's will not be on my list of places to stop when the seasonal campers recommend not talking to the manager if he has been drinking which sounds like most of the time, unless ED is no longer the manager and it is no longer a KOA Campground. I will not plan on attending here unless someone finds out that ED is gone and Checks out the site further.
Blue Grass seems to have a lot of rules, plus $30 per night plus extra if you use your air conditioner. Plus a 10 deposit for a gate pass if you want to come and go freely. Also most full hock up sites have seasonal campers on them and the dump station located so it is very hard to use.

Looked at 3 places while we were going to Toledo last Saturday.
Sulfur lake near Williamstown Ohio, no sewer and restroom, only 1 smelled and looked awful. Saturday morning and almost deserted of people, camp office and store not open, so didn't get to talk to anyone.
Hidden Lake, near Toledo, Nice campground, but only gray water, no sewer, will come around on Sunday with honey wagon for pump outs. Good rates, friendly staff, clean but old restrooms, horseshoe, and many other activities. Home – Hidden Lake Campground
Eagle Lake campground resort, Nice place, full hookups with 30 & 50 amp electric, reasonable rates 30 for 30 amp, 35 for 50 amp.
everything looked good until we started talking about # of sites available, All overnight sites are pull thru but only 7 available possibly next year may be 9, all grouped together, but no guarantee as reservations for next year are already open, call to make reservations, will hold site for a week till you can send check.
I can talk to the woman that runs Twin lakes in Bluffton Ohio, nice campground, but most campsites are not full hookup, none listed on website as pull thru with full service. Free wireless internet. Twin Lakes Park family campground at Interstate 75 (I-75) and State Route (SR) 235 near Bluffton, Findlay, Lima, and Ada in Northwest (NW) Ohio offering camping to tenters and RVers.
I will try to find out what will be available if anyone is interested, it is real close to I-75 so would have to expect a lot of highway noise.
I have found another River Trails Campground, Mendon, Ohio about 20 miles west of I-75, 25 miles south of RT 30. Rates look good, 30-35 range, I will have to check on full hook up. Welcome to River Trail Campground 166 miles from Detroit, 138 miles from Cincinnati, 52 miles from Ft. Wayne, in, 200 miles fron Cleveland, Oh, 120 miles from Columbus, Oh.
Until I get a chance to look more this is all I have.
Perhaps someone reading this has more suggestions, I will try to check out Twin Lakes and River Trails, as I have time.

Look at River trails as a serious place to have the M&G. check out their website, we were astounded by what we saw, all full hook ups in the area we would be in and most are Pull thru they will reserve a block in "A section" on their map just for letting them know they would hold them till May to give us a chance to get organized and reservations made, do not take Credit or Debt cards but with a call, they will reserve until deposit check arrives, cash only for balance if not paid in full in advance. There is a 30 acre woods to walk thru with 2 miles of trails if one wants to Hike or ride, River access, play ground for kids if we have any, pool, and lake swimming, Volleyball court, and separate Basketball court, if we get a younger crowd to attend, also a enclosed building we could use for a potluck if the weather is not co-operative. Back-ins $31 Pull thru $33 per night.
I could go on, but just let me say, the pictures on their web site do not show how really nice it is.
175 miles from Detroit
100 miles from Dublin
200 miles from Chicago
I feel this could be the right place.

Just to update this thread, we've decided on River Trail Campground ( index) as the location.
However, the date has not been decided on. Stay in June, or go back to the weekend before Memorial Day (May 16-1 ?
