2014 Adirondack M & G

I just checked the Weather Channel forecast so I can plan what clothes to pack for our trip. So far this is what is predicted for Old Forge:

Thursday High 54 Low 32 partly sunny 10% chance rain
Friday High 59 Low 43 mostly sunny 0% chance rain
Saturday High 66 Low 51 partly sunny 10% chance rain
Sunday High 68 Low 53 partly sunny 20% chance rain

It looks like we will have nice weather for the M&G this year. A little chilly is okay but we may have to fire up our furnace on Thursday night. We should be in around 3:00 on Thursday. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

P.S. We've never been to the Adirondack Museum so I have been checking out their website. FYI they are closed Friday, the day we planned to go. We will likely try for Sunday instead.

Because of a family crisis in Florida, we're trying to not cancel this trip Please put us down for a surprise dinner for Saturday and same for Friday night. We'll wing it and keep you informed. As of today we plan on attending and I'm preparing the camper today.

I'm trying to convince Leo to go up on Thursday after work....he is saying it is too far to drive!!!!

We'll see what we can do to make the trip in on Thursday otherwise you'll see up Friday morning!!!!

Not sure who is still online. Tom has hurt his back. We are on the fence whether to go or to cancel. Will see if it gets better as he moves around.

Well another year has come and gone! For those who attended, thank you!

As usually food was delish! But I'm sure glad we had a Cracker Barrel gatherine Friday night instead of an Ice Cream Social!!!!

Mark your calendars - as the 9th Annual Adk M&G will be held the last weekend in September (9/25 = Friday & 9/26 = Saturday)!!!!!

Look forward to seeing everyone once again!

Hope you all had safe trip home - I timed our trip - from the time we left the dump station (10:14 am) till we arrived home it took us a total of 6 minutes!!!! We spent more time waiting to dump than traveling!

Thank you Kathy and Leo for all you do to make the M&G a big success!! It was great and I am glad we could make it.

The museum was wonderful and the walking helped Tom's back a lot. We got back to rain and then downpours with thunder storms. Not fun, but we were dry and warm in the Sunline. Soggy pick up, but glad it did not rain for the main event. Then back home and it was sunny so we dried out all the wet stuff.

As always, we had fun and enjoyed the good company and great food !

An interesting event. While we were at dump station, a Sunline came along behind us and waited its turn. Really nice Solaris. The lady took her little dog out for a last walk and I chatted with her. They were there at Nick's Lake all weekend! I told her of this site and the various M&G's. They had toured the Sunline factory before it went out of business. I do hope she checks out the site and they can join us another time. We had not seen this Sunline on our walks, but I guess we never made the far loop so maybe they were down there. It was raining so I did not want to hold her up with too much chat!
