I hope we have the group tent area available to us for the whole weekend like we usually do. With another group coming in, might we have to share that? Not sure how that would work.

Should we be looking at the riverside pavilion or rec hall

I don't think we will have a problem with getting our "tent" site. "IF" the other group is of any size, they could be across the road in the space we used to occupy. I don't feel that our group should have to move OR share the tent. But, when the time gets a little closer it might be something we should check into ?

I'd go reserve the rec hall and let the other group get the muddy tent

IMO it's a long way for the majority of us to be traipsing all the way over to the rec hall for activities when the tent is right near us. Since the other group only reserved 10 sites I'm hoping the tent is reserved for us as usual.

Last year they relocated the tent.....no more mud! But assurance of a repeat would be a good idea.....

Oh good! I knew they were supposed to, but since we never saw any pictures on here of last year's M&G, I just had to assume they didn't...

I just got off the phone with Ryan at Buttonwood. We "DO" still have our tent site in the upper campground, just like last year.
Ryan also told me that "if" you are in the river side lots and wish to be in the upper lots with the rest of the group, that you NEED to call after March 1st, as that is the deadline the other group has to confirm the lots that they have set aside.
SO, if you wish to move, I'd be on the phone first thing in the morning of March 2nd.
I made this phone call, since there were a few questions about the use/location of the tent, and to check on the possibility of moving from the river sites to the upper sites.

Thanks for the info Kitty. I need to jump in and say that Tom and I are happy to let others go for the upper spots. I'm not sure how the other couple "down by the river" feel so I will let them speak for themselves. We'll let them, or other people wanting to attend, but desiring the upper spots go for them.
I want to say, we're not being anti-social. But, Tom's dear Air Force buddy is not well. They live 20 minutes south of Buttonwood and we must spend some precious time with he and his wife and family since we are so close by. We'll do our darndest to participate in some SOC activities and wander around to say hello, but we won't be there enough to warrant taking a spot in upper if one becomes available. Now "if" a bunch of sites open up, we will gladly join you up there, but only after those wanting them the most get their pick.

The Buttonwood rally is getting closer and closer! There are several SOC members, that I haven't even gotten to meet yet. Please make your reservations and try to make it this year!

"IF" anyone knows of anything that needs to be changed/updated on the Buttonwood list of attendees or the site map, please let me know. I have spoken with Hutch, and with his work schedule change, it has been hard for him to keep up with home computer stuff, so he said it was fine for me to take over doing this.

I did the best I could, with the map. I'll work on getting another map, that includes the river section.
EDIT: I now have the river side map uploaded and in the original post. Everything should be hunky-dory now!

Good job guys! I know that Billy & Linda with their 1988 T-2000 just made a reservation, but I heard that from Hope who didn't know the site number. Maybe you can just add them at the bottom of the list with no site number? I think (not sure) that Hutch used to call Buttonwood and they would give him information so he could update the site. Thanks for taking over!

Do you happen to have a SOC username for them?
