The smaller sites in Loop C will accommodate any small trailer like yours or a Sunspot. The description of each site on reserveamerica.com includes trailer size. Your 12.5 should work well in a tent only site, too, in that loop.

When you've made your reservation, please post it here in this thread so I can add you to the attendees list. I just need site number and nights you'll be there.

Please read over this entire thread for additional details and information about the M&G, the campground, and the park.

Looking forward to meeting you!

My recommendation to you is to grab Site 46 if it's still available.

Site 43 will also work real well for you.

Site 41 is listed as a tent site only, but if memory serves, your 12.5 should fit in there. (Anyone else who can chime in on this?)

Site 51 is still available, but it is listed as a 30' site which can accommodate almost any larger RV or TT.

While these 4 sites have been available for quite a while, at some point across the spring or summer, they will get scooped up as people plan their fall camping. Our general experience is that the whole loop is always booked solid by early to mid August.

Several folks have indicated strong interest in joining us for the ADK M&G so it is possible that these remaining sites could be booked at any time.

I spent all my summers in Algonquin as a kid and teen.

My wife has camped at FCP since she was born. We try to spend at least 30 days a year up there.

Between Nicks Lake and FCP, I am kind of spoiled and haven't been to many other campgrounds in the ADK's. We do like Sacandaga in Wells, but that may be a bit south out of your way.

Others speak well of Cranberry Lake, too.

Barnhart & Coles Creek

Not in the Adirondacks, but on the Lake St. Lawrence in Massena and Waddington. I spent many great summers at Coles Creek, and to some degree at Barnhart. And they're right on the border!

Sites 41, 43, 46, and 51 are still available for the M&G weekend.

Several folks have asked about the M&G in this thread but are not on my list as attending, yet.

If you are planning to attend and make your reservation, please post that here in this thread.

Site 51 is gone. Is it a SOC person joining us? Or will someone be feeling a bit left out?

Anyway, 41, 43, and 46 are still available.

How's it going Steve? Sure was good to meet you at FCP. Got the back of our Sunpsot rebuilt, now have a few questions about trim installation to hide screws. I gotta figure out where to post it...

Area 51 was taken by a couple who haven't joined the club yet but are Sunline owners from Tupper Lake. They visited us at Rollins Pond for a few hours and met some of the crew.

They commented then that they never saw so many Sunlines in one place. Just wait.

Sheri and I know them from Sacandaga Campsite in Wells which happens to be one of our favorites in the "Dacks" (nice segue to another question) if you like easy river rafting and beautiful campsites. Another favorite is Moffitt Beach in Speculator if you like beautiful campsites and a long sandy beach.

Adk M&G

I just visited the Res. America site for Nick's lake. 1st time there & have never reserved a campsite anywhere. We're confirmed boondockers but considering joining you folks for M&G
If I'm reading correctly looks like # 41,43, & 46 are only remaining sites in C loop for M&G. 2 list max vehicle length length as 20 ft & other @ 15 ft
I just measured my T-1950. From spare on rear bumper to tongue measures 22 ft.
Naturally I'm reluctant to try to reserve a site that I can't fit into anyway. Could call the park & hopefully get some clarification but wondering about your experience w/ these measurements. Should I take them as "gospel" or hope there's a little wiggle room ?
Thanx

You should not have a problem getting the 1950 into one of the 20' sites. If you get there and you can't get it in, they have two "emergency sites" in the loop that they can move you over to.

Also, Site 57 in D loop backs right up to Sites 50 and 52 in C Loop. it is a 30' site, and you'd be just a step away. There is a short trail through to C Loop - maybe 10 yards or so.

There aren't any hookups at Nicks Lake so as an experienced boondocker, you'll be quite comfortable.

Welcome aboard!

We're in !

Happy 4th !

Ok, we bit the bullet & reserved site 46 for 3 nights - Fri-Sun. Being a confirmed cheapskate we typically boondock but are much looking forward to mtg you other Sunline owners. I'll be the all-thumbs guy picking your collective brains about trailer upkeep & maintenance

We should fit in ( w/ the group, & also hopefully the campsite) as we also will have a red canoe atop our pickup. Planning on bringing along a 2nd canoe in case others are interested in a paddle.

"See you in Sept, when the summer's thru..."

I think if you're coming with questions, you found the right group for answers. Glad to have you join us and from another 1950er, welcome.

The week of Sep 12 we'll be on the largest criuse ship in the world. I think in addition to the pot luck dish we bring to the M&G, how about we bring a Tortuga Rum Cake from Grand Cayman. These people make their own rum and add it to their cakes AFTER the cake is baked.

Not sure if it belongs on the dessert table or the one with the bottles.

Yummmm.

The way to solve that problem would be to buy two cakes. One for each place, dessert table and with the bottles.
