Sue & Dave arrived back in civilization around 2:00. Another great weekend with everyone. Lots of good memories made again. Let the Sunny rest for 2 weeks until the 4th of July rolls around. Safe traveling to the remaining crew.

2009 SOC Meet & Greet in Buttonwood

Another great weekend with new friends and friends we met last year. Congratulations to everyone who planned, coordinated, and assisted with all of the events. Looking forward to next year's event. We'll have a couple of 50/50s to help with expenses. Maybe more trailers will attend.

Happy Trails to all. Hope to see you again this year.

After rolling out @ 9:20 (Sun.), arrived home @ 10:45. By 11:45 had unhooked, cleared RV fridge, emptied the truck....then reloaded the truck w/ supplies for the extended family picnic we were sheduled to host south of Dillsburg....and headed out. That picnic was also a success (2/3 smaller than the SOC meet & greet, though).

Talk is of moving the date of the family picnic from 2nd weekend in June to mid-July, beginning next year. We hope so.....we'd like to stay with SOC 'till noon Sunday, at least.

Thank you everyone....for a great, great weekend.

Home Safe. Got home around 2:15, no internet, cell phone went nuts and would not work. So quickly unhooked Sunny, then off to cell phone place, was there almost an hour, then back home still no internet. So waited for Gary to get home from work and now posting from his house.

Glad everyone is posting that they are home safe.

Now we're driving up to Harrisburg, PA to look at some rims for his truck.

What a great Rally, and I already miss everyone,

Kitty

PS: Ladies, start to pay attention to hitching, driving & unhitching for next years Rally.

We also got home safe, but with a very exciting moment. We were cruising along on I78 when we crested a hill only to find traffic at a dead stop. Roz was screaming and trying to push her foot through the floor , while I had to take evasive maneuvers to get stopped without rear ending the truck in front of us. Then came the 45 minute wait. Made it home with 10 minutes to spare before going to therapy.

Home Safe and Sound -- Great Rally!!!

Wendy and I made it home at about 3:15 PM safe and sound, andhave everything unloaded and put away. We would like to thank all those responsible for the organization and execution of the 2009 M&G at Buttonwood. We enjoyed meeting everyone we met, but I fear that we did not get a chance to talk to every person. We have already made the reservations for Site #56 (the site we had this year) for the 2010 M&G Rally at Buttonwood. We plan to arrive on Thursday evening again next year. GREAT FUN!

Looking foward to next years rally. Thank again to everyone for making our first Sunline Owners Club M&G Rally such a enjoyable time.

Until later, Happy travels!!

Mooney here-

All's well that ends well, great time at Buttonwood, not such a great time in traffic.

PennDot had a "work zone" set up that added over an HOUR to our trip. What work was being done? Well, there was a dump truck backing up 50 feet from the end of it....

Played a little game of Chinese Fire Drill, hit the head in the camper while stuck in traffic- that elicited a smile from the GhettoMedic.

Couple more good traffic jams, then a few knuckleheads that learned about torque as I had to go by them.

David's older truck didn't fare so well on the hills, but he caught up on the flats quick enough.

To all:

We had a GREAT time with you, nice to put names with faces. The canoe trip and the bike ride were definitely high points for us. This experience was well worth the ride, for sure!

We're going to try to come back next year, schedules permitting....

Leo and I decided to take a DETOUR to visit our daughters, sons-in-law and grandsons (all 3 of them) - stayed over at Sutton's Hill Top Campground (my daughters home - she lives on acres of land and is on top of a mountain).....left there 9 am and arrived home today about 3 to pouring rain!!!!!! Got most of the TT cleaned out before I had to leave for work.

We already made our reservation for next year, I don't know who will be organizing next year - but I'd like to offer my help in any way I can.

Speaking or organizers - our thanks go out to each and everyone of you who made this M&G such a huge success!!!!! You all deserve a round of applause along with a standing ovation !

We are glad that most everyone has already made it home from Buttonwood. We are still in the campground and must say, it was sad to see most the Sunlines leave. There are 3 of us still here till tomorrow. I guess we are trying to extend the fun just another day.

Thanks to everyone for the awesome time. It was great to put faces to screen names. Thanks to the coordinators and event staff for the great activities and making everyone happy campers. We have enjoyed our first M&G and can’t wait till next year! We have our site reserved already and making plans to be off work.

Buttonwood Campground is an excellent choice and we thank the person who came up with the plan to hold the M&G here. The place is beautiful and the owner and his staff is defiantly hard working people who really care about their guests.

Has anyone thought about maybe having a place here on the forum for M&G photos for members to submit? Just a thought.

Again thanks for the great time and we look forward to next year!

Oh.. Kitty… “Ladies, start to pay attention to hitching, driving & unhitching for next years Rally” I am with you on this one. Something out us WV girls. LOL

We picked up the dogs from Daisy Hill Puppy Farm and picked up the 195SR from Stoltzfus (roof cleaning and inspectoin) and then cleaned the Sunspot (Whew what a job, it's so big ). We really enjoyed ourselves and so happy to see old friends and meet new friends. Take Care........................Marshall & Sue

We got home around 7:30. The trip went very well, no issues whatsoever. We did take about an hour for lunch at the Flying J at MM 78 on I-80, and then another gas stop in Toledo. We had a ton of construction zones, but all I had to do was slow down when coming into it and remember to turn on my headlights! We don't have to do that in Michigan, so it's a hard adjustment. I'm adapting to it just as well as the whole Lank-is-ter thing, both of which I'm doing well to remember.

Oh yes, the big hill on 322/22....went much better compared to last year. I floored it near the bottom and tried to keep 65 as much as possible. I finally dipped down to about 48 just before the top. Better than 40 last year. Oh yeah the engine temp climbed up to 202, so it was happy to get to the top! Interestingly enough, I never once saw either dash needle move, and I was trying to watch them closely.

I have to say, this was the very first run through PA with this trailer which it didn't rain at some point. It was a beautiful travel day. Figures it would be nice since everything was all dirty...

Made it home safe & sound (~6pm).

We had a great time and are looking forward to next year (reserved the same site for next year when we left).

When in the office reserving for next year, Buttonwood said there were already 40+ sites reserved for next year WOW.

Thanks to everyone for making this years Buttonwood M&G such a success and so much fun.

Already looking forward to next year

Hi All!

We made it home about 3:45 Sunday. Till we got unloaded and got a bite to eat, couldn't connect to the Internet to report in. Works tonight.

Thanks to all the Organizers and participants that made this a most enjoyable weekend! The kids and I had a great time and DW even got to relax a bit. It was great to see old friends and make new ones!

We are already looking forward to the next M/G, and reserved Site 65 again for next year; Thursday June 10 through Monday, June 14th.
I know I'm going to take a hit on this, but somebody please correct me if I'm wrong!

I'll try to do a better job of keeping up with posts; I'll also continue my recruiting efforts with Buttonwood brochures and Sunline business cards.

Don't forget that Dave from Buttonwood said that this is the BEST owners group they have ever dealt with; mostly because we are sooo laid back well organized! Hope we can continue to keep it that way! Thanks again everyone, safe travels and if we don't see you camping, we'll see you online!

-Brad, Amy, Shelby, Danielle, Jessica (& Max).

Paul and Terri,

Glad to hear you made it home. Too bad you had to rent a car as you could have traveled back with us. Hope the truck is soon repaired. See you around the 'hood.

Buttonwood '09 Photos

We made it home OK but very late Sunday night. Sorry we weren't there to say goodbye to most of you all, but we had to take care of problems with the truck. While we were sightseeing on Saturday the alternator started putting out low voltage so we ended up going to Mechanicsburg to buy a new one which I installed in the parking lot of the Auto Zone. We just used up the better part of three hours on the adventure and checked out of the CG right at 1:00. We were disappointed to see how many campers were gone when we arrived back at Buttonwood as we had hoped to be back earlier to say farewell.
Had a smooth ride home until we got to the Mass Pike toll booths on 495 N, where we ran into night construction that delayed us for about 2 hours.
I had just remarked about how great the traffic had been the entire trip!

I must say how happy we were to meet so many of the people from this great forum. We really had a wonderful time. I hope next time we'll be able to spend at least an extra day so that we can spend more time with you all. Brownie and Charly also had a ball meeting and playing with all the new friends they made. They slept pretty much the whole trip home!

Thanks to Hutch, Jon and everyone who put the rally together and made it such a great experience for all of us, and thanks to Dennis and Mary at Buttonwood for running such a first class operation. They really made us feel welcome.
Hopefully we'll make it again next year!

We made it home safe and sound but it took an extra 1-1/2 hours due to 11 different construction sites.

Sunline owners are the greatest - what a wonderful group of people this weekend. We signed up for Site #69 again for next year. Thanks a bunch Hutch for all your coordination and to Lowell for taking on this job for next year. The pancake breakfast was awesome! Thanks to all the cooks!
