Hi Bob,

Thanks - I got your PM, but was so busy today I forgot to update the OP.
Got the list in the OP updated now. Still need to update the map in the OP. Maybe tomorrow.

See you Thursday.

Just a couple last minute quick notes for those coming:

- When you arrive, I'll be delivering goodie bags to your site. For those of you arriving Thursday, since I won't get there until later in the day, you won't get your bags until late afternoon/evening once I've set up, and after Hutch has arrived (he has the bags). So if you see someone peel into your campsite in a golf cart, that'll be me. I'll have a spreadsheet on the golf cart listing your coach and if possible your tow vehicle/color, so I can spot you as you drive in.

- Included in the bags will be a couple forms in addition to what Hutch has provided. One is a Coach Production Records worksheet. If you attended last year, you'll know exactly what this is, but if this is your first time coming, it's basically a form asking for a ton of information about your coach. Be sure to bring your owner's manuals with you!!!!! They are critical to filling it out. And as always, if you have any questions, send me an PM or find me during the weekend. If you have to, you may take the form home and send me the info at a later date.

- The second form is all stat questions. We're looking for stuff like the distance you drove to get to Buttonwood, the number of years you've been camping in your Sunline, etc. It would be wonderful if y'all could turn that form in to me by Saturday night so that I can gather the results and announce averages and stuff before dinner. All the information in the forms will be confidential. I will most likely post the averages on here, but no attendee-specific information from the form (i.e. hometown) will be posted.

- I talked to Nancy at Buttonwood today (ok, yesterday...) and she mentioned they had to replace their entire WiFi system this season, so there is now a minimal WiFi charge. I don't know an exact price, but if you want it, you should plan to ask at check-in, otherwise you won't get on.

Updated Week-End forecast for Mexico, PA

Still doesn't look too bad

We have our mobile weather spotter (aka Tweety) currently on location so hopefully she’ll provide some eye witness reports and updates.

You know, this weekend, we (as a group) will be responsible for burning up the rest of the oil reserves and there will be a $5 a barrel jump in crude prices. Oh well, have a safe trip and see ya soon!

Well, last night Gary put the 55 gallon tank in the bed of my truck and we then went to Fly J (at his insistence) and he "FILLED" both tanks, so big blue is loaded with fuel. The electric fuel pump is not installed yet, it's having technical difficulties

So, we're doing our part to get/use fuel he burns recycled oil and/or tranny fluid in his IDI diesel, I don't dare do that with mine.

Gotta get moving so I can try to roll out on time tomorrow.

A little low fog here at Buttonwood this morning. Nice and cool - about 65 degrees. Weather for the weekend looks perfect! It's EMPTY here at the campground, just crying for the arrival of some Sunlines. There's one other Sunline here already. The river is MOVING really fast. We may go on a float later today when it warms up.

Fellow Buttonwood bounders....

Have a slight technical setback. Not to mentions monetary too...

Look what DW found this morning??? Cell phone pics are amazing now a days...

DW took truck over to Grandkids house. Town road crew has steel plates over road steel grating over drain pipe in road. Seems my driver side front tire had a close encounter with the road grating.

Nothing like a little excitement 24 hours before leaving on a 500 mile towing trip….

Any one having 18” Load range E tires, be prepared for sticker shock… And finding that size in town…

Have appointment at 3:30PM today to get this corrected. With 54,000 miles on them and a spare that is worse then this, I'm at, well is it 1 tire or 5??? It's only money....

The good luck in all this, it happened early today and I have time to deal with it now verses 8:00PM tonight. And it happen home not on the road with the camper….

Speaking of tires,

If anyone's TT has an issue on the way to Buttonwood, I have a couple of my old Mission tires that someone could use as a replacement spare...donations to the club would be encouraged in lieu of payment. I marked the ones that came from the non-flat side so those would be the ones you'd get if you need them.

I was lucky when I just got my tires for my truck- PepBoys was running a buy 3 get one free, compounded with a $50 rebate from Cooper Tires. Buy four for $50 less than the price of three? Heck yeah.

Safe travelling all, our voyage starts in 2 hours; then a brief drive to our overnight spot, then an early morning....

Well Tweety wins the prize!!! It's 5. Sitting here now looking thru the glass at my truck suspended in air...I hope they do not drop it... That would be hard to over come before launch time Thursday.

They have to mount them on the truck yet and put up on the alignment machine yet.

Sitting here with a zillion things to do...just sitting here, Tic Tic Tic goes the time with so much yet to do when I get home. Oh well maybe I" can catch up on some quality SOC time. Have to get my fix in for today.

Tweety, did Mr. Tweety see the battery charging post? I'm hoping maybe more from Mr. Battery later today.

Well now down to 12 hours before launch... YEH!!!

John

PS Driver rear now mounted. 4 more to go....

I know what you mean about the price of tires. My rear tires just sqeacked by for inspection. Cheaper tires are just under $200, the ones I'm looking at are $230. Not to mention the wife's Explorer will need tires before winter.

Speaking of getting things done before we leave, just spent 2-1/2 hrs trying to get the kayaks tied to the roof. Never had these on the roof, so had to change the plan a few times. Didn't want to deal with it in the morning since I have to go to physical therapy before we leave.

Everyone be careful on the drive, as they are calling for some heavy thunderstorms through Pa tomorrow.

Leo and I did just that tonight after dinner and just before an ambulance call came in - so off he is driving some poor soul to Utica...

We've mounted the kayaks on the (fiberglass) lid of the pick up....hope we don't have any problems.

Safe driving everyone!

AAAAAAAAGHHHHH! This is all just a bad dream! Can it get any worse?

I wrote the wrong damn dates down and have been too busy to keep checking things (dial up doesn't help). Amy and I are off next week, not this week! We'll have to see what we can get switched.

Our Camper is at the repair shop getting some problems fixed and I don't know how soon I can get it back. I'll be calling them tomorrow.

Worst case scenerio, we'll be up for the Pot-luck on Saturday.

Next worst case scenerio, we'll be (or me) pulling in Friday night with a tent. We'll be leaving Sunday at lunch as I'll have work to do at Father-in-law's farm to fill in for him while he is on vacation.

Since it appears I can't plan for the long term, we'll have to see how a short term Emergency Action Plan shapes up!

Hope we get to see everyone; have a safe trip!

-Brad

John, sorry to hear about the tires. Hope you get it all sorted out soon.

Well, our truck and trailer is all loaded and ready to roll for Thursday morning. We are hoping to hit the border around 10 am. We plan on arriving at the campground Friday afternoon. We are looking forward to meeting everyone.

I wish everyone safe travels and we will see you Friday.
