Hutch! YOU HAVE OUTDONE YOURSELF!
I LOVE the Mingling in Mexico, and the Luau idea! I think the Luau one is my favorite so far (espically on the blue!)! I was thinking the Sunline "Lunatic Luau" It is so much better than what I had! I would totally get that one!
I did have a thought about the "What happens" shirt, though. Is that a "Smiley Central" smiley? If so, they trademark thier stuff, and we would have to get written permission to reprint it. I am not sure about the "what happens" phrase. It has been around long enough that I can't imagine Toby Keith trademarked or copyrighted it (right ). Just trying to make sure we stay out of trouble (my Jeep club has to skirt around DCX all the time!)!
Great Job!

Thanks Kathryn,
I got the smiley face from MS Word's Clip Art, so not sure if it’s a "Smiley Central" smiley.
There was also a concern expressed to me if the “What happens …” design could be taken as offensive to some people.
Also, Jon requested for designs with the new Sunline logo, so here they are:

Is that logo still owned as intellectual property? I know they were trying to sell the I P , and I assume that is part of it?
You are quite the computer graphics person!

Folks.....
Lots of really great options to choose from, and I'm sure any one will be satisfying.
But I WILL be disappointed if the final decision is made based on someone's private fear of someone being offended....rather than a choice made by the majority of our members.
A retired government employee, I have witnessed innumerable regulations shaped to avoid criticism, rather than to accomplish the purpose of the enabling legislation. And there was always a lingering dissatisfaction that PC trumped open choice. Our organization doesn't need to start down that path. Let's ultimately have a vote identifying the design folks prefer most.

RE: the COMMUNITY FORUM POLL on the 2008 design:
Thanks for polling the members for their personal preference. All the options are great!

The other option is not to decide on one specific design.
One thought for the T-Shirt design would be:
Front > all would have the Sunline Owners Club logo with the “2008 Meet &Greet @ Buttonwood, Mexico, PA” on the front, upper left, 2” size.
Back > what’s on the back is up to the individual’s discretion.
Some people may not want anything on the back, others may have their own preference.
May even look to see if there's the possiblity of color sellection.
It all depends on what Mike & Roz can support and costs. Not sure if we can have multiple designs or if we would need to select one design & one T-Shirt color. I guess that would be up to getting some guidance and suggestions from Mike & Roz.
As mentioned previously, you can always design & purchase your own shirt on CafePress using any of the drawings I’ve posted. I just ordered and received a Golf shirt & T-Shirt with the Sunline logo on it. I put the logo in the upper left in 3” size, which I’ve since realized 3” is a little too large, a 2” logo would be a better size when positioning the logo on the upper left side.
I would be more than happy to share any of the drawings with anyone who would like to create their own shirts on CafePress. All drawings have transparent backgrounds so they can be put on white or colored apparel.
If you would like any of the drawings, PM me with your email address and I’ll send them to you.

Rich & Barb (Hiller64):
I just registered for the M&G and it appears that you and I tried to register for the same site. According to her records, you are on site 98, but your post on page 1 says you are on site 96. She registered me for site 96. Since you registered first, you should have first choice of the sites. If you want 96, I'll be happy to use 98. Let me know your preference in case I would arrive before you.
Jon, in any event, you can update your map to show that both sites 96 and 98 are reserved for the M&G. I'm anxious to meet everyone since I could not attend this year's get together.

Hi Al,
Glade you're able to join us.
I've updated the site map within my post (on page 2).
Jon will have to update his link in the OP.

We've been watching some of the designs. Roz has been trying to work on some prices. One thing to keep in mind, every ink color needs its own screen, and every screen costs $25 to make. Also the design has to be sent to an artist to have the different colors separated into positives for each screen. That's where the biggest cost is involved. As for the shirts themselves, they're only about $2. So the more shirts that are ordered, the cheaper the over all price is for each shirt.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the info.
Based on the color cost, and guessing that there may be 15 colors total for both front & back designs (5 for front; 7-10 for back), it seems like we would need a minimum order of 30 T-Shirts to get the price around or below $15 / shirt - correct?
Can there be different color T-shirts or are you looking at one color?
Again thanks to you and Roz for doing the hard stuff figuring out the implementation and costs.
Hutch

Tom,
Roz thinks if we can get about 4 dozen shirts, she might be able to get the cost to $10 or less. And on another note. She was looking at the Cafepress site, and thinks those shirts are iron on logos, not screen printed and will peel off after a few washings.

Mike,
I got a couple of shirts from CafePress and I'll let you know if they start coming off after a few washings. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know if they're iron on or something else.
I'm sure what you and Roz will create and put together will be of much better quality.

Jon:
I'll be bringing the 2553. I'm slowly accepting the fact that it makes more sense to sell the 2051 to someone who can enjoy it than to hang onto it for sentimental reasons.
