Have you checked the Meet & Greets? It looks like you're up north. There are 2 of the smaller ones in NY state that you could attend.

Don't mean no harm but that itinerary sounds backwards to me. Vermont in May then MB, S.C. and Urbanna, Va. in August? You must love being toasty.

We stayed in a cabin at Pine Acres a couple years ago....love that little lake, except the day they woke us up at 6am spraying for weeds in a giant airboat!!

where are you going
LOL we always do it backwards. Every year I say we have to go south for Memorial Day because it's still cold. The group we travel with agree with me but then we never end up south. At least we could go to CT. After this long winter an still cold spring I am sooo ready for some warm weather. Actually my sister and I do like to be toasty. We went to Myrtle beach (Ocen Lakes) right on th ocean. We love it there but that has to be a 2 week trip so we can relax.
I'll have to ck out that meet n greet in Ny sometime.
Thanks for all your responses.

Hi Lori,
We liked Myrtle Beach so much we lived there for about 5 years. We lived in Lakewood Campground which is nextdoor to Ocean Lakes on the North side. Every campground in MB is a good one.
May all your trips be long enough to be enjoyable and short enough to leave you wanting more.

Especially the state park. Gorgeous and inexpensive. A walk back through time to a simpler camping time.

Teach,
Your campsite looks like one on the newer sections in the back loops. We usually had the site across from the store. We liked to surf fish and that was the shortest walk to the surf.
My favorite Myrtle Beach Campground is Huntington Beach State Park, across from Brookgreen Garden. It is further South and quiet. There were open, bake in the sun, sites and wooded, hide from the sun, sites.
Still, all the campgrounds in MB were are nice. The low country coastal areas of both carolinas offer plenty of oceanfront camping that becomes more scarce the farther South you go.
There is a Camping World in Myrtle Beach that had free overnight camping, at one time. There were about a dozen sites behind the store. Not so sure about how they do it now.

Ahhh ... but you'd be wrong. It is only several sites south of where you camped, at the end of the front road near the nature center.

LOL!.... Wrong again? Who'd a thunk it?
That path by there was a shortcut to the pier, I think. Wife and I liked the icecream they had there.
I hope you all can get together this season. We'll still be in Florida, burning in the hot blazing sun and running from A/C to A/C.
