word of caution

I was up on my roof of my 267 sr the other day replacing a broken aeroflow vent cover,(replaced it with a camco) and noticed that my antenna edges were rubbing into my rubber roof,I don't know if this is just something with the 267 floor plan and the location of the antenna, but it's worth a look,I fixed it by putting some weather stripping on the edges that were rubbing, I will see how it holds up if not good I will just have to bend the ends up a little.

Hey Rich, I noticed the same thing on my antenna, and couldnt think of anything that would do the trick. Thanks for the great Idea, and I'll crawl up there first thing in the AM and see if the weather stripping will do the trick.

I can just imagine how pissed I'd be if the only tear I get in my roof is from a factory installed product. But then maybe I could get that stupid rubber roof replaced with a aluminum one like Kittys

Thanks for the tip!!

Pat

Hello Rich2500
Do you mean the outer tips of the antenna?? Mine sits on the roof on it's round mounting hardware I see no trouble with that.

Hey Pat,

Well, since I really really don't think you'll be able to get one, I'll let you look at mine

Kitty, you really want to dig it in, don't you!

Is that a window awning I see on the back there? I didn't think you had that.

Good Morning Jon,

Yes, that is an awning over the large rear window, and let me tell you, that it sure has been appreciated. I just wish I had gotten one installed over the window behind the sofa. I checked into having it done, but was advised not to because of where the structural supports are located. The only way I could do it would be to get one the nessessary size to fit the structural supports and then it would look funny as it would be bigger than the window, so I'll pass on that thought.

Kitty
