Winter's knocking on the door
Looks like we are in for the first snow of the winter tomorrow and Saturday. We went under a winter storm watch today. Good thing we winterized last weekend. Temps are going to be in the 20's the next few nights.

They are calling for snow showers around here this weekend. As long as we get one more week trip in, we will be happy. We are leaving Monday morning and meeting up with fellow SOC friends Kitty and Gary Tuesday. After we get back... let it snow.

Headed to Harpers Ferry WV KOA this afternoon for a Halloween weekend with the Brother and Sister in law and kids. Hoping we can get there before it starts and by Sunday it should be ok for travel home!!! Looks like the tank heaters will be getting a workout though!!!

Mack,
It looks like you will be fine this weekend. The rain is not supposed to start till after 10pm tonight, then turn to snow by 10am Saturday. The low is on Saturday night at near 30. Harpers Ferry usually always gets a few degrees lower than what the forecast calls for. Regardless, I am sure you and your family will have a good time. No matter the weather, Harpers Ferry is always a beautiful place. We were just there yesterday and the trees on the mountain are at their peak color. Should be interesting to see fall color with snow!
Take care and enjoy your weekend!

Looks like we'll winterize Tweety today before the snow starts. Since the weather man has been SO wrong lately I'm crossing my fingers that he's wrong again! We have 2 more camping trips planned!

Jan and I are headed to Branson next week for a Submarine Veteran's gathering and memorial ceremony for those lost serving in the Silent Service. This will be the final trip for us until spring.

Well, the "white crap IS HERE" !!!!! It already has some of the tree branches starting to droop a little. Did I mention I hate the "white crap". Right now it is really putting it down, also appears to be a slight breeze. It is also laying on top of power, cable & phone lines.
I sure hope it gets up to about 70 degrees tomorrow to melt this stuff. We are planning to leave tuesday after my chemo treatment to meet up with David & MaryAnn (Rebellious 78 ) for one last camping trip of the season for us.
I think I hear Sunny saying "Hey, I'm getting chilly and this white crap is getting all over me"

Yes Kitty you are right... it is still coming down hard here too. Branches have been breaking and falling all over the place here. If you wondering about power outages, you can find out HERE
The map keeps updating every 15 min. We are lucky so far to still have power.
Yep, it makes it a little hard to get the Sunny ready when you have to winterize it, then pack the stuff in it for a week long trip. But I will be happy to see Monday morning come and we roll out of here!!!

It's snowing here in Upstate New York. Hope the power stays on. Leaves are raked, hoses are in, laundry is done, soup and stew are made, but the Sunline has a flat tire and is at the rv shop.

We've been getting hit hard. Lots of trees down, roads closed, and we've been without power most of the day. We have the generator so we have heat and the fridge and freezer running. Our neighbors aren't farring so well.

Awful here too. HALF of the massive maple in our front yard is on the ground.

Unfortunately, i seem to have the worst damage to report. I'm in Sunny in Harpers Ferry with mdfiregal in a cast from above her knee to her toes. Broke her ankle in three places along with a major dislocation after her foot slipped off the step and went in between the top and middle step. Dislocation was reduced today but surgery wil be needed to fix bones.

Geez, that doesn't sound like a fun camping trip! Hope she has a quick recovery!
We didn't have snow here, but we did have some hail this afternoon and the temps are right about 32-33 at the moment. This afternoon, I got all the trucks out for a picture, and it started to hail/snow. Just little bits of frozen raindrops really. But it was enough for me to scramble to get them put back away.

Och sorry about the accident, speedy recovery. Well they were right measured 10 1/2" in the Maine mountains wet slippery heavy snow but no power loss. The wind seems to be blowing the snow out of the trees with out damage so all is well. The camper is resting comfortably in the barn with out a bit of snow on it!
