If husband is out in the cold, windy weather today mod-ing the 2363 - see "The Mystery Wire" thread - I should also be doing something for the Sunny, right? So, taking the advice of SOC members in a past thread, I took Clorox Clean-up (actually, the Dollar General knock-off) and Magic Eraser in hand and cleaned the rock guard over our front window. It needed it and I was also hoping to "lighten" some of the yellowing on the fiberglass. I was careful around the decal striping. The results are pictured below: the left side of the guard cleaned twice; the middle once; and the right side not cleaned.

In addition to cold and windy, the Sunny was in the shade, so it's not as clean as it could be. But I was pleased with the results and will do another round when the weather gets a little warmer.

Great job! You won't get rid of the yellowing unless you paint over it with plastic paint, but having a yellow tone is much better than embedded with dirt plus a yellow background!

Woke up Sunny today after a lone winters nap. Flushed water lines, checked out hot water tank and fired up the refrig. Did the Hunter #42995 thermostat mod, Works great.

Finally got some pictures up on our 2363 we got last fall. Priscilla is all cleaned up and ready for our first trip out.
Mods are removed antenna and installed a lamp over the table.
"Painted" the curtains to change their color.
Painted the frame underneath.
Added some details to make her feel like home.

Jane,

Looks really nice... and ready to go camping! We've been doing some mods on our 2363, which we love, but haven't gotten out yet.

Must be the season for hanging lamps over the table..I have a wicker lamp with some twining green leaves over mine!! Gives it a homey feeling and clears the lamp off the table surface. Sure wish I could get out there and do my under-bed mod..going to cut an opening at the foot of the bed and install a door for better access. I found a chest of drawers being tossed and grabbed a drawer..very close color..will remove the drawer front and use that. We are not able to lift that bed anymore..my very bad back condition and DH 's age and etc. etc.! We had an opening such as this in another camper. Will take pics after. Janalee

Janalee, We move the gas cylinders that hold the bed up so it does move easier and really stays up. (Borrowed it from another SOC member) It is easier to lift but I have a back issue too. Didn't want to fight with the bed and then having to fix the blankets after the mattress moves. You will love the drawer for added useable space.
Wannabees, Winter was really long here so the camper was a good distraction when it warmed up enough to get outside. Made great progress since March.

Janalee,

Will be interested to see your under-the-bed drawer mod as lifting (and holding) the mattress "door" is not easy for me either. Thought I had read somewhere on this site where someone had replaced pneumatic lifts on the "door" with stronger ones. We might consider doing that in order to make that space more accessible, at least for me, but your mod also sounds a good option.

As FYI, Nana (Poppy and Nana) did a door under the bed mod on their T2499 "I think..." She may have a pic. Maybe 1 too many camper mods on 1 too many campers to recall who did what... Someone did do it, I remember seeing it.

John B I put a drawer under the bed - on our bed we had a drawer on both sides and a small unused area in the middle - measured that out and made a drawer to fit in between and just wide enough to be able to pull open thru the bathroom door opening!

Ah, right SOC member, just wrong mod....LOL

You added a drawer, not a door. However a door would look very similar. I actually have spare doors to do the door mod, just I never made it to it yet. Aqcuired them from the Sunline South parts supply in Martinburg WV.

H'mm, now who did the doors? I'm thinking Joe, gosh what is his screen name. He has a T264SR, does great work as I have seen it at a M & G in the ADK's. Has a Chevy PU with rear steering.... From western NY. I just cannot think of his screen name. JRM264 or something like that. He posted pics even....

Cleaned the rock guard..

Took the window guard off (5 minute job) and then scrubbed the bejeezus out of it with a stiff brush and Tilex bathroom spray cleaner (NOT a 5 min. Job.. !! More like an hour or more -) however it looks like new..almost.. I am really thrilled with the results. !! And it was so much easier with it off the camper.Trimmed off some of the peeling sun decal also..finished it off with a coat of Amway silicone glaze. Then I looked over my upcoming mod for an opening under the bed..decided I will put it on the hall side or I would have to go outside to use it..very tight area there at the foot of the bed. Also have decided it will not be a drawer-just a wide door -gives me more access and options for storage. Now I wait for another good day " pain wise.".....naptime now..Janalee

We're in the process of painting the interior of our Sunny. Should have it done this weekend. Too hot to stay in it for very long at a time.

Today we also received the spare tire cover we ordered.
