Oh and I was certain that the awning would need replacement or repair and I am right. So, next project is grabbing my attention.

Tuesday we installed carriage bolts in the hitch weight distribution chain snap-up brackets. Nice to have the added insurance on those components, and no longer rely solely on the set-screws to keep them in place.

This afternoon we replaced the Atwood thermostat for the furnace with a very basic Honeywell digital non-programmable model. The Atwood would sometimes stick and need fiddled with before the switch would make.

You'll be happy with digital. I put a Hunter I'm mine and installed a low speed fan switch.

Put up one pc of wallpaper border. Victory! Might seem insignificant but, I went through a whole roll of border and had to order more. The stuff is like trying to hang Charmin toilet paper on the wall. Impossible to cut....shreds just from looking at it funny. I only have one 3 ft pc. to go and am wondering if I should order two 5 yard rolls instead of one lol When I die nobody is going to be saying at my funeral, "One of the things I liked about Anita is that she was so handy."

Owning a TT you'll get handy real quick. There's always somthing to do.
When you get done, you'll sell it and start all over.

Six? Holy smokes! Why? I guess time will tell but I'm at a point in my life when I only want to have fun. I guess I will find out on the first rain day when I am trapped inside my 17'10" camper with my 6'3" husband and two dogs. The 1700 has a nice set up though for such a little camper and I'm guessing we will be just fine.

I'm on my 5th in 10 years (though I've had this one since new, for the last five years), but that's due to buying and selling Sunlines back in the day.

I've been trailer camping for 40 some years. Did have a dry spell in there because of work. Also you get the 2 footsies. (each TT 2 ft longer than the last).

Well this is a good one. Some where a long the line of previous owners a bracket for a tv was fastened to the wall OK plan except for the screws, they were about a 1/2 too long. Yes they went right through the exterior wall. I removed them and put steel roofing screws in from the out side and finally got around to repairing the damage properly yesterday now I need to find some matching paint looks pretty funky with primer.

Sunline Fan and Jim,

That's a lot of campers.....but I can definitely see the two footsies angle because my husband and I have already talked about it lol. I want to store it inside and we are limited in space, we could go 2 more feet though. I think I would be giving a new camper "the stink eye" though because I'm pretty fussy and clean. I cleaned this camper head to toe....ceiling and all and I would not look forward to doing that again anytime soon. For such a little space, surprisingly, it took A LOT of time. Never know though.

I finished replacing the rest of my clearance lights. Some were pretty bad - cracked/broken, dry caulk, failed caulk, etc. After installing the new ones, I caulked all around - except two spots on the bottom of each to allow any possible condensation/moisture to drain. Good thing?

I'll test them over the weekend.

Good luck Mainah and dtstanton

Finally got my last pc. of wallpaper hung today! YIPPEE!!!!! That was a toughie because the paper kept tearing. I finally ended up making a template of the area and precutting the wallpaper border.

Just had 4 Carlisle tires put on the 1950 at Lanc Co RV. When I went to pick it up there were 2 other Sunnys sitting there. One had smooth sides.

We got our bi-weekly shipment of stuff for the 2363 from Amazon today: a "water thief," recommended to us by Sunline owners at the Buttonwood M&G; a door opener (for the slider), another M&G idea; awning stakes; and an 6' x 9' outside rug. My husband also took out the Oxygenics showerhead today. He is very proficient with these things but, after several tries installing it, it still leaked so back to Camping World it goes. Learned a lesson on this one: test the showerhead first before drilling holes to put up the holder - sigh!

Not sure what you mean by the shower head leaked, but the Oxygenics is supposed to dribble a bit when you use the button on the shower head to turn it off mid shower to soap up.

Pam & Steve,

Thanks! We knew about the dribbling with the cut-off switch. This leaked where the hose attached to the shower faucet. Matthew tried everything he knew but it still leaked - we don't know if this unit is defective and haven't decided whether we're going to exchange it for another or simply get a refund.

We just got an Oxygenics for the Fox. The main advantage is that it saves alot of water by giving you pressure with air. So, if you like to shower in the Sunny its a very worthwile mod. But if you dont go on trips long enough for it to matter, or are happy using the shower house, maybe not. I think you just got a defective one.

Lisa,

I echo Pam's comments. We found the oxy a major improvement in the camper over the standard shower head. It was so good in the camper we bought one for the house, however we took it back out of the house as it did not give the same benefit we had in the camper.

The hose leak you are describing, that sounds like a defective unit. H'mm that said, I did change the hose itself to the standard Sunline hose as it flexed better and I put the Oxy head on the Sunline hose. So really do not know if the Oxy hose was a leaker or not.

Don't know if you tried it yet, leak and all, however for us, it is better than the standard shower head, in the camper that is. Again this is all personal preference.

Good luck

John

I think you just saved us an exchange. Matthew put the Oxygenics showerhead on the Sunline hose and it did not leak. There was water coming out from the bottom edge of the faucet body on the hot water side tho' - is that normal? We did check the plumbing access area behind the shower and no leaks there.

We're glad to hear that there are SOC members who have the Oxy showerhead and like it. We got it b/c it sounded like a definite improvement over the original and overall it had very good reviews. In July, we will be camping for a week near Gettysburg while at a conference and will definitely be using the Sunline shower. Thanks!

(Thinking "aloud".....) I wonder.....could it be a vacuum breaker that's required on hose fittings now? We have one that came on our home shower hose when we had to replace the old one.
