Upgrading Brake controller to the Tekonsha Prodigy

I have had a Tekonsha Voyager since we bought the popup in 1996. I moved it to the F-150 when I bought it and it's worked great. I got the Prodigy today. It's wired up and I just need to mount it in the truck and plug it in. Anyone have any tips in setting it up for the Sunline TT?

I have read the instructions and watched the little DVD that came with it.

I just followed the instructions as written in the Prodigy manual and everything worked great. No surprises and nothing special to do.

Where have you mounted it? Did you use the pocket?

I used the pocket.

Three things I considered when determining a location to mount it was to find a location that:
1. Didn’t interfere with legs or visibility.
2. The screen read-out could be easily seen and viewed.
3. I could easily reach the manual braking controls with my right hand (I'm right handed ) and with minimal impact to driving (i.e., without having to bend over or reach to access the controls).

I considered mounting it on top of the dash, but than decided on the lower dash, because of problems with running the wires to under the dash. Here are some pictures of where I mounted mine. (Pictures are a lot better than trying to explain it).

Mounting Location:
On lower dash, driver's right side of steering wheel:

Close Up.
Ran the wires under the dash to the OEM plug.

View from driver’s seat:
I can see the screen through the steering wheel and easily reach the manual control if needed.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I ended up putting it where The Voyager was.

I'll try to get a new picture. I didn't use the pocket because it stuck out a little farther than I wanted. I never had a problem hitting it getting it in and out.
