Time to say goodbye, to our Sunline

Going on eleven years. That is a long relationship, especially for owning a rv. Bought it new back in 2003. Adult children and Grandkids want to go camping with us, feeling the urge for something new, able to budget for it. Started shopping. Not impressed with most new rv's, look like headaches just waiting to hatch. Finally found a brand and model that fits our needs. It is eight feet longer, with an extra bathroom and bedroom, but funny it weighs the same as our 30 foot Sunline. Jayco Eagle, nice looking trailer. Now to find a home for our F281SR. Dealer in same area as was the Sunline factory. He told me Sunline only built about 25 of the fivers. Dealer not interested due to the heavy weight. I will post it on Craigslist and see how it goes. Been a good trailer, lots of fond memories.

Welcome to the world of Sunline Alum's They call us SOB's for some other brand but we all remain part of the Sunline family. We belong to the Forest River forum too which is informative but not the same. We've made many good friends at the Sunline Owners Group and will continue to meet and greet.

Congrats on your new camper......................................

We were up in PA this weekend, doing some shopping in Bird in Hand and Intercourse. Driving up, we passed the Denver exit, I looked over to where once the Sunliine factory stood. Sad to know that it has been closed for so long. I really thought, that if this economy was able to recover (sadly it is far from recovering) someone would start up a new Sunline company. It is a great name, area is ripe for talented workers.
