Gary, I take it you found one the right color?

I didn't wish to hijack the thread in the 5th wheel forum, so I'm posting my reply here..
John, I did not find a truck in "Kitty's color" but I did, however, find one in MY color! The truck I found (Or, did it find me??) is a 1999 F350 XLT dual rear wheel truck, with the 7.3 Powerstroke diesel.
The color is Deep Wedgewood Blue Metallic.
It is a very nice looking and running truck and the friend I am buying it from, is a certified Ford diesel mechanic. There are a few issues with it, but they will all be taken care of before I pick it up. Kitty is even buying me a toolbox/aux fuel tank combo for it. That will enable me to carry up to 120 gallons of fuel! We'll also have the capacity, to carry all the extra "Crap" that Kitty likes to drag along.. I may even allow her to carry some more of "Her" tools along....

It looks like we're still "in the dark". All the picture shows is a black box.

That's a color swatch, of the truck's color... Almost black... But not quite.
I've attached a picture of an Expedition, which is close in color.

It is such a dark blue it pretty much looks black. When I first saw pictures of it, I said "OH, it's black", but I'll have to learn to live with it" but then Gary told me it was dark blue. (I had to wait til I saw it to believe it WAS blue, and it is like a midnight blue. I wish it had been a lighter color, "white" was what I was really hoping for, but these 7.3 diesels are scarce in good shape. SO, I'll learn to like it and Gary can keep it clean

When looking at this color chart, it can be seen that it is blue. Nice color! Does it have the denim blue or medium graphite interior?

It's the graphite and the door panels are out of an '06, with the carbon fiber inserts.

Gee, does it come complete with the 2 bucket seats in the truck bed?
I had a 1980 F100 almost that color. That year they had OD in the standard tranny. Straight 6, 300 cu in. I can still hear the sound of that engine, unique to it.
Good luck with the new hot rod. Even 4 x 4 wow. Actually good considering the Kitty hill....
So which truck are you retiring or are you collecting?
John

Hi John,
The two seats were for someone else... I already asked about them!
4x4 is a must and for exactly the reason you stated!
I sold the green 97 and will be trading the 99 Explorer as part of this truck deal. I just have too many vehicles on the hill and I want more room!

YEAH !!!! We will be down to "just" the 2 trucks, and I am thrilled with that thought It will be so nice that Gary will not have SO many vehicles to deal with. Plus it will sure make the car insurance bill look better.
Now when can we go camping ??? OH, thats right, getting more "white Crap" today, so no school.
