Sunny Spotting (part two)
May we start a new thread? The old one dates to 2006 and the posts are piling up.

That's a long thread!
BTW: On our way from camping today, we saw three Sunlines on I-81. Two were heading northbound and one southbound (Not including us)

One of the North bound units could have been us on the way back to PA from Bethpage in Virginia. We saw at least 4 units southbound - Heck, if you don't see one this time of year, when will you?
Now if we can only find the yo-yo who dropped the bundle of hay in the North bound lanes...

Bink,
If you were towing the 2499, well it wasn't you that we saw. For the other models, well I am NO where near as good as Jon, a quick look and he can tell you what model/year it was. I need to see it a little bit more.

Talked to a family from IL in an early 90's unit that came in Saturday to American Hertiage RV Park in Williamsburg, VA. They had picked the unit from a family member and it still had temp tags on it! They were headed to the DC area for a couple of days then on to Gettysburg, PA area on the way home. Gave them the info. on the group and they were going to check out when they get home in a week or so.
Also, ran into a SOB (nasa42a) at American Heritage! Had a nice chat with Frank and Sharon. Altough I think the heat was getting to my kids!!!
Speaking of the heat.....truck console outside air thermostat on truck was reading 105 (humidity was probably close to 100% too) on Rt. 17 near Tappahannock on the way home Sunday
I'll try to post a review of Amrecian Heritage some time this week. IT's probably one of the nicest parks we stayed at. Most sites have concrete pads that make setup almost a pleasure I would highly recommend it for the Williamsburg, VA area.

Hi Kitty,
Yep, we were towing the 2499. We went through WVA between 12:45 and 1:45 stopping in the Northbound rest area for lunch. We'd be pretty easy to identify as I doubt that there are too many 2499 Ultra's being towed by Chrysler Aspens out there.
We also came up RT-17 in Virginia and we can vouch that it was definitely hot down there - over 90 degrees by 10:30. Mack was also right about the humidity!
Probably won't see us on I-81 again down there until next Spring.

Did you happen to see a Sunline 5th wheel, heading south? We went to Flying J and then on to Camping world.. Had we known you were at the rest area, we could have had a mini meet & greet!

Nope, the only Sunline 5th wheel I've ever seen was a couple of years ago parked along I-81 just south of Harrisburg. Seems like Sunday was a big day for Sunlines on the road as we saw far more than we have in quite a few years.

Might have been you that I saw. Quick glance and I thought it was a Durango towing it and you were a little south of the rest area. But isn't the Aspen Chryslers version of the Dodge Durango (Yeah, I know basically the same creature, just a few upgrades & different badges)
Sorry we missed a chance to meet one another. We only live 6 miles from 81 so whenever you pass this way give us a heads up, we might get a chance to meet.

07/01 @ 09:00: Eastbound MD100 west of I97 near Glen Burnie, MD.
Black Ford P/U FX4 w/cap and kayaks on roof. Sunline was a newer (white siding w/silver,lt.blue,dk. blue stripes) 28'/30'.
Anyone from the group?
We're headed to Old Mill Stream in Lancaster, PA this weekend. Route includes MD100, MD295, I695, I83, and US30.

Sitting in Cracker Barrel in Bay City, MI and there was a '96 1700 out in the parking lot. I left a card on the window, just in time to pass the owner on the way out. I personally handed him the card and talked about the site.
The coach looked in great shape and he's already an Awesome user!!
See, we do have Sunline owners in Michigan!

Saw two Sunlines at Ludington state park this past week. One was a late 90's 25'ish footer, the other a newer (2005), same size, with a wooden placard which reads "The Hennings". The name doesn't ring a bell so they might not be SOC members. I didn't have a chance to chat with either party.
Then on the way home, I-96E at the rest area before lansing I saw a fiberglass sided Sunline TT leaving the rest area. He was pulling away as I pulled in, so that's all I got.

Saw a Que at McGeorge's Rolling Hills RV (outside Richmond, Va. on I-95) Tuesday. It was having a hitch fitted so I think it was a new owner.

I remember they had one in stock there a while back, but I'm not sure if they still had it or not.
It appears they did, and now is "Sale Pending": 2007 Sunline Que 45E - Travel Trailer - Details
