Sunny Spotting!
I just had to post that we have seen an amazing amount of Sunlines on I-81 lately. We travel 81 and Rt. 11 frequently and yesterday had to be a record number. We are glad to see them out and about. Wondering if any of the SOC members were among them. I am sure the drivers were thought we were nuts when we were looking at their campers! We even seen a Sunline Truck camper going north bound! To bad we were going South bound or I would have snapped a pic.
Happy Travel to all of you!

We saw one sunday at 9:10 a.m. heading north on 222 right outside the Adamstown area of PA. It looked like a slide model with the bathroom in the back, and was being towed by a white vehicle. (either an SUV or truck with a cap) Anyone we know?

It wasn't us, we weren't out this weekend.
We did see another Sunline on 422 West bound, West of Exeter on Easter Sunday.
Which campground did you stay at in Gettysburg? We are looking to go there the first weekend in June.

I saw one leaving the Myrtle Beach State Park Campground, but unfortunately we were just pulling in...
Now, if someone sees us cruising along I81 in the next couple of weeks, it will be US!

Ron & Alice,
WOW, you'll be traveling I-81. Keep me posted of your location if you can. When your in WV on I-81 at exit 8 you'll be 6 miles from my house. Maybe we could take a few minutes to meet one another, "IF" I'm not on my bus.

We have a campground resort membership at Gettysburg Battlefield Resort. They are part of Coast to Coast.
If you want to stay in Gettysburg, there are a few good campgrounds and a few duds to. I really like Drummer Boy. I haven't been back since they changed owners...so not sure if it has changed or not. I don't recommend Little Round Top. It is more live on seasonals.
If you need more information on any of the Gburg campgrounds, please PM me.

Kitty...I keep forgetting you live so close. We are off I-81 on exit 20 ( Spring Mills exit) We are 1 mile from 81. Since the new Walmart is built, we see alot of overnighters now.
Have you been back down to Brunswick? We hope to get down there soon...maybe we can meet up for a weekend camping trip.

We had a good experience at Artillery Ridge in Gettysburg. It's a little dated, but very close to the National Park, in fact they have horse tours of the battlefield that leave from the campground.
www.artilleryridge.com
My brother-in-law used to go to Drummer Boy all the time, however since the change of ownership they will not return. They had a very bad experience with being blocked in by another camper, and the management giving them a hard time about being out, even though they couldn't get hooked up. They have been going to Artillery Ridge.

Ok thanks Kitty, I marked you on our map, and we will see what time we fly through, ok?
Want to pm me your city & phone # please? It will have to be a quick coffee or something because we will be leaving Hillsville, VA on Friday morning and want to make some time. We are hoping to see a very dear friend of ours who has cancer and we think his days are numbered.

Sunny sighting
We were on I-81 southbound on Saturday the 10th and northbound on Sunday the 18th to and from Jekyll Island GA.
Saw 3 Sunlines northbound in SC and GA and one came into the Campground with a couple from York our last night down there.
I-95 report. There's little construction until you get down into Georgia with the southbound lanes in pretty good shape except for the usual broken pavement in SC. Northbound is rougher - particularly the slow lane on I-95 north of the 295 bypass around Richmond.
Only PA and GA appear to be working on repairing the roads.

We saw one going north on IH=35 in Texas between Austin and Temple. We just bought a '95 Solaris 2363 and this one resembled ours. That's how I spotted it.

We did not see any Sunlines this last weekend on our trip to and from Orlando, FL. No, we did not go to see "The Mouse"... went to visit some friends and family.
GREAT weather down here this weekend BTW. Mid-80's, plenty of sunshine, no rain until well AFTER we left the campground on Sunday.

No reports of "Traveling Sunlines" this weekend...but while camping in Gettysburg, Pa just alone in our campground there was a total of 6 including ours.
We didn't get a chance to talk with anyone though. We were so busy with family.

Passed one going North on S. Salem Church Road, near Dover, PA
(here - http://bit.ly/cHpxdi )
on Friday. Didn't note the TV, just noticed the "Sunline" label in my rear view after we passed one another.
I don't think it was a 5th wheeler, but it was a good sized one...

We saw a total of 4 Sunlines on our trip down I81 to Christiansburg, VA. Just wondering if any belong to anyone in the club. We saw them all on friday.
10:50 a.m. - Rt. 11 S at the PA Tpk. A smooth sided 2363 (i think)
2:45 p.m. - Rt. 81 S near Lexington - a 1950
4:00 pm - A 2499 (?) in the Camping World Roanoke parking lot with a Stoltzfus sticker on it. I thought I heard some people at the next register say they had a 717 area code when they gave their phone number. Then I go outside and Steve says there was a 2499 from Stoltzfus that just pulled out that was parked right next to us. I was shopping...he was tending Pepper so neither of us got to talk to them
On Cambria St. in Christiansburg parked next to a house. Steve spotted this one on one of the inevitible Lowe's runs. (we were moving our son into his new place in C'burg)
We did not have the Tweety with us. It was a work weekend...our LAST child has moved into something that we HOPE is either fairly permenant or lasts long enough that either HE has a truck the next time he moves !!!

We were at the Pate Swap Meet at the Texas Motor Speedway this weekend camping in our new to us 1995 T2363. I thought I spotted a Sunline in the distance. I'm getting familiar with the profile. I never got around to walking over there to see if I was right. Well, yesterday we saw it pulling out of the swap meet and my husband yelled "Sunline." Of course, it was too late to stop them. it was one of the small ones with the one door in the back.

Saw 2 more yesterday 5/8/10. Someone has a 1550 in their yard at the top of the 12% grade on 272 south of Lancaster. It looks like a REALLY nice one.
Then, after our hike at Susquehannock State Park we drove through Muddy Run Recreation Area and saw one there. Saw it from a distance, so don't really know the model number, just that it was a medium size.
