Sunny #20??
Jon (SunlineFan) sent me an auction listing the other day. It's for a 2003 F-345SR. I did a little digging and found out that it is being auctioned, due to some roof damage. The insurance estimated the repairs at $12,000 and that is why it is being auctioned. I figured it is at least worth a look, so I am going to see if I can register with a broker. he auction is on 12/09/14. Here are a few pictures...

Good luck - let us know what happens - if you make it to the auction - take pictures 'cause damage is not evident in the ones posted here.....at least not to my novice eye!

Thanks Kathy!
I'm hoping they covered the roof, at least... This might be a deal, too good to pass up! Then again, it might not be....

Gary,
That layout is our camper but in a 5'er. I remember Happy Campers (Lowell) saying our was built like a 5'er but in the TT. I guess so
Looked up the dry pin weight, 2,040#, (17.9%) which surprised me. Must the the extra length help offset some of the pin weight. This is lighter by the catalog then your F-344SR and more close to your prior F-311SR oddly enough but yet the heaviest 5'er Sunline made in 2003.
Pending what they want for it and how bad it is, some one with handy skills could have a nice camper. Shame to see such a nice camper be water damaged.
I'm sure the slide has the same issues we know of. Also look for the slide floor rot.

John,
I plan to inspect it, before considering bidding on it. The 345 weighs over 700lbs more than the 344 and I think the biggest offset for the pin weight, is due to it having two slides behind the axles. I'm hoping they were at least smart enough, to cover any openings in the roof. If the price is right, this will be ideal for us to put on a lot in South Carolina. We can live in it, until our house is finished.

We are planning on moving to South Carolina next June/July. Angie was born there and I love the area. The company she works for, is located in Mount Pleasant. Just across the bridge from Charleston.

Gary and Angie,
Exciting news on your planned move. Marshall and I have considered moving to SC but he is still working for a couple more years so we will stay in Maryland for the present. I retired November 1 and am just starting to realize I no longer have to go to work. LOL

We've been planning the move for some time now. I had originally thought about going to work for CSX, down in Charleston. The W&W railroad does not have anything down there. With my knee injury, I have no idea when I will be able to return to work. I had an appointment this morning, and they pushed my return-to-work date from 01/02/15 to 02/28/15. At this point, I'm hoping that I will be able to return to work, on the railroad, at all...

Interesting find. Yeah I wonder what the damage looks like as it is not evident in any of the photos. Like others have said, hopefully the damage was covered up to prevent any further damage. Gary I agree, the light pin weight has to do with the double rear slides. I always liked the layout of this 345SR. With the VIN number in one of the photos, was Jon able to identify if it was a unit previously owned by anyone we know.

We do have a lot going on and there is a lot of "hurry up and waiting" going on too. I'm trying to go through a broker, to be able to bid on the 345. Unfortunately, things aren't moving along very well. I sent all the signup information in on Wednesday. I called on Thursday and nobody had put it through. It was put through on Thursday and I'm still waiting... 31 hours later... I was told that everything would be setup, within 12-24 hours...

I will!
I'm just waiting on the broker to get back to me, with my bidder information. I hate having to wait until the last minute!
I checked the auction and someone has pre-bid on the 345. It's only a $25 bid, but that's more than I can do right now...

The only record I have of it was when it was at Crossroads Trailer Sales in 2010.
