Sunline to Sunshine

I hate this time of year up here in the north. I winterized and parked the camper admitting defeat, summer's over. As a consolation we're looking forward to a Thanksgiving Caribbean criuse and another in April before it's time to open the Sunny for another season.

Happy winter everyone, make your reservations for next year's camping early and be patient......Summer's only 7 months away.

For some people (me for one) it can't get her quick enough we have had snow showers over the past few days....that does not look like a good sign!!!

Leo and I will probably be watching the snow fall Thanksgiving Day while you & Sheri bask in the sunshine!!!! Enjoy the sunshine!!!!

Last camping trip.......

It's still in the 70s here in TN. Nights are getting cold though. We're going camping with a camping club Halloween weekend. Last year it was a blast. That will probably be our last camping trip this year. Soon the nights will be freezing and the TT will need to be winterized. I would camp all winter but my husband doesn't care for the cold.

Kathy and Leo are about 100 miles further north of us but we have had a few mornings with frost already, too soon for snow. If I lived where I could camp all year I'd never get anything done around the house.

In the 80's I lived in Georgia and I always entered a sali boat race on Halloween followed by about 4 races in the series ending with the hangover regatta on New Years day. Ah the good old days.

How about a winter meet and greet in January somewhere in the Caribbean. We could wear our Sunline tee shirts and bring photos of our Sunlines.

My wife and I went to the cover bridge fest in Indiana last weeked with a bunch of high shool freinds. It was awsome there were three couples in tents one pop up and our Sunline... This was our first time boondocking and everythig went fine.

This weeked I winterizes my sunny and in Chicago we have the temps. are mild so I did some spucing up in the inereior fixing things from the preveos owner. I am off Thanskgiving week that is when she will be moved to storage.

We have had some cold nights over the past few days and since we were gone to Toronto a couple week ends ago i have already winterized the trailer. I go back to working nights on Mon the 25th. To prepare for that I spent some nights staying up and sleeping in the day time this past week. I washed the inside and during the day on Thursday Judy and I washed the outside. I feel we are preparing for our trip to Henderson Beach in Florida at the end of April. We also can hardly wait and since I retire in Jan. we will take are own sweet time getting there. The plan for now is six days each way. Sounds real good to me.
