Sunline T1550/Citation?

Hi all,

New to the forum. We just sold our old reliable pop-up and are in the market for a small TT. We want some of the conveniences of a TT, but don't want to give up the overall benefit of the small size of the pop-up. Lots of web searches have turned up the Sunline T1550 as a very likely candidate, but I haven't yet seen one in person.

I went and looked at a Citation camper over the weekend. Based on what I've seen in pictures, the interior layout was nearly identical to the T1550 Sunline. I'm curious if there is any connection between the two? The seller didn't have any information.

Here is the camper I looked at: Citation travel trailer(4 person)

Unfortunately, this particular camper was probably not the one for us. It was a little further from "ready to camp" than I really want to start.

Thanks!

I think the Citation was made by Thor...who also make Airstream trailers.

Douglas.....

If you can't find a 1550 in the shape you want, you might try looking at these models (see links):

http://www.scottytrailers.com/ (These are now back in production and available new)
http://www.casitatraveltrailers.com/ (Also available used...watch RV Trader, Ebay, etc.)

Or if you still like some of the pop-up advantage but more size and hard sides, etc., a used Hi-Lo might be interesting........

Thanks. Seems interesting that the layouts are so similar. I guess there's only so much you can do with a 16 x 7 box.

Thanks Frank. I do like the Casita trailers too, but so far I'm finding that the Sunline's appeal to me most. The Hi-Lo trailers are interesting, but I haven't taken a close look yet. Unfortunately, budget rules out anything new.
