Thanks Jon,
Seeing the inside of those older campers was great! Sunline was amazing, way ahead of it's time.

Our T-276SR also came from Recreation World, probably one of the last they custom ordered from Sunline (and delivered). They went out of business about six months after Sunline. Left us hanging with a credit for a Reversable Fantastic Fan that Sunline couldn't install on our trailer.

Sorry to hear that.
I wasn't into rv's back then but thinking Recreation World was off Rt 50 not far from the mall on the opposite side of the highway? I know one thing, they put 2 dealer stickers on my camper and I can't get them off to save my life without destroying the paint.

They were off Rt.50 on Ferguson Road on the other side of the Severn from Annapolis. Thier building is now a Service area for the car dealers (Lexus/Jaguar) located there.

You know how you NEVER take notice of a specific model of car until you buy one and then ALL you see are cars like the one you just bought? Well, that's starting to happen to me. Here in The Land of Pleasant Living (TLoPL), it seems like every fifth house has some type of RV parked in the yard and I'm starting to pay closer attention so that I can steal some 'best practice' ideas for storing this beast.

And so, speaking of research, I was looking for a thread to drop a couple of pictures into and came across no less than five, with this being the most recently and heavily responded to thread.
Sunline sightings by Wannabes
Warwick Woods Sunline sightings by MotoLappa
Sunline Sightings! by Poppy & Nana
Sunline Sightings on I-96 by joe8grouse
Old Sunline sightings by 264SRinPA
The old admin/mod in me wants to merge them into a single megathread to preserve them all and maybe drop the "Old" from the title of the first thread. Just a suggestion for any moderator who does too dang much already so thanks for thinking of something new to do!
Meanwhile, here's my first contribution. I was dropping off Grandson 2 at daycare and caught sight of this in a nearby yard. Notice that the power cord appears to be plugged into something so despite its weathered appearance, it might be still in use! I didn't get close enough to ID the model, though.

Well, cancel THAT little idea. I changed the thread title search parameter from sightings (plural) to sighting (singular) and got 22 more hits. That's just too much work, so...

Hi Dig,
Don't know if you found this link yet. Our admin made a custom Google search for our forum that works a lot better then the embedded forum search tool.
See this thread to help on the searching. http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f1...html#post86049
Hope this helps
Thanks

This is the first full season for the wife and I in our Sunline and have yet to camp anywhere without at least one other Sunline being at the campground. Apparently most owners aren't on this forum and know little about their campers. Met a family last weekend with a 1999 bunkhouse (can't remember the model number) that was apparently sold originally in Canada as that's where he thought it was manufactured based on his literature. He was shocked when I told him it was built in Denver PA.

We've been counting Sunlines during our western travels and haven't seen many. Interestingly, they've all been smaller older ones. In 4200 miles we've seen 6. All were farther west than Ohio. 2 1950s, a truck camper, a 1661, a 12 footer, and an unknown model number. The farthest west was a very old 1950 in the Tetons.

That's better than when we went west in 2004! I think there were only one or two, only one I specifically remember and it was a truck camper.
I just had to dial up into the internet so I could email LaRue to tell her about that one!

We still both get excited when we see a Sunline, especially an older we'll kept one.
And it was really fun seeing them in the west!

Okay I said that I would link these pictures from my vacation thread so here they are. I included the quotes pertaining to it from this link.

Maybe a real early build 2003. Rear bath, mid kitchen, front bedroom, 2 doors and the super slide and still had the range hood vent to the outside. A popular floor plan. If that is it, the next generation turned in the T-264SR in 2004.
...
Thanks

Meanwhile, I stopped for lunch today and noticed this one sitting across the street from the parking lot that I was in.

Hi Dig,
Your Sunline radar is working pretty good!
This is cool, it is like guess that Sunline!!! This much I can see, front kitchen, dinette on front door side, mid bath and rear bedroom. The fridge is on the non door side as shown by the fridge roof vent towards the front. There are only 2 windows on the non door side. One behind the couch and one in the rear bedroom.
The white siding, white fenders and the rock guard decal points to a camper 1998 or a 1999. Not year 2000 as the rock guard decal changed then. And not 97 as there is no black bottom strip and black fenders
What has me stumped is the small single hung window on both sides of the rear entry door?? The rear most window is in the bedroom. The one closer to the front of the rear door sure looks up high like in the bathroom. But I'm not finding a floor plan in 98 or 99 with those 2 windows like that around the rear door.
It looks like a 1998 T-2553, single rear bed option with and extra window in the bathroom. Maybe a custom order to get the bath window? That bath window does now show up on the floor plan in the brochure. Which is odd as Sunline usually has a window in the bathroom. I wonder if the 98 floor plan is wrong on the T-2553?? But it does show up on page 2 and page 3 of the 98 brochure under the Advancer logo. It is sort of stuck near that advertising logo. But the side decals are not an Advancer and that TT has aluminium siding not the fiberglass the Advancer was called out as.
Maybe Sunline Fan can fill in the missing pieces of this one.
Thanks
John

It's funny but it seems that once you buy a camper, you start to notice them all over the place!
This one is located in Parkville, MD just off Joppa Rd. I took the pics from the sidewalk as I didn't want to go onto someone's property uninvited. If the small items to the left of the front door had looked more like an ID plate, I might have ventured closer but I didn't want to look any creepier than I probably already did. If I get back that way anytime soon, I might have another go.

It looks like a normal '98 2553 to me. The front window is in the bathroom, the rear in the bedroom. This is a front facing rear bed, so the bedroom side window is in front of the corner wardrobe cabinet.
The bathroom window doesn't show up in any of the floorplans because it was an option, and part of the POG (preferred options grouping). Since most Sunlines were ordered at the time with POG, it's very rare to see one without. So the standard floorplan didn't have a bathroom window. I actually don't know if I've ever seen a Sunline of this vintage without POG, or at least without the bathroom window. It would be very rare if there was one. I think POG included stuff like the awning and a/c, which most customers would want, so it's almost like one would have to be special ordered without it.
Because the 2553 bathroom has the shower on the street side/ODS, the only place for the bathroom window to go on this floorplan is on the curb side/DS.
