Sunline Sighting: Michigan
Last week, on our way out of the Mill Creek RV park in Mackinaw City, Michigan, I saw a Sunline entering. Seeing another Sunline is a first for us. I was so startled I neglected to notice any identifying features other than it was aluminum-sided and probably 20 feet or under in length.
I hope we don't have to wait another four years to see another one.
Don

Hi Don,
There are many Sunline coaches in Michigan, I'm surprised you've never seen another. We go primarily to state parks which have a couple hundred sites on average, and it seems every time I go, I see at least one Sunline. We'll usually see one or two more on the drive there and back as well.
The only thing I have not seen is another Sunline 5th wheel (or toy hauler for that matter)
Jeff

Sunline Sightings
Last Sunday I went to the train show in Owosso, and driving North on I-75 south of Flint around 1:30 pm,
I saw three Sunlines going southbound within five minutes.
I think the first one was a T-2363. The other two I could not tell.
After all, I had to keep an eye on the road in front of me.
I don't think Sunlines are all that common in Michigan either, so I thought seeing three on the road within five minutes was extraordinary.

Didn't you know, that you are supposed to have your eyes trained to move independently? That way, you can tell the year, model, floor plan, mods done, tongue weight, correct tire pressure, frame number, VIN and any other pertinent information??????
Sometimes, I think Kitty has her eyes trained that way! She is a wealth of Sunline information!

Sunline sightings
EMD_driver,
I am not that well trained. My be Kitty will give me a lesson some day.
At the show, however, I think one of the units there was, what I believe was, an EMD 7.
I was not paying that close attention, as I was mostly ogling the steam.

Hauling another trailer load of "stuff" up to our new house "Up North" this afternoon we were passed by a truck with a Sunline hanging behind it somewhere near Saginaw on I-75.
On th top of the truck were a couple of canoes/kayaks and ,what looked like may be a dog cage? On the back of the Sunline were two bicycles, and I thought the spare tire cover had "LeClair" written on it.
Anybody here recognize themselves?
Just call me curious.
Roar

Roar, were you on 75 South today (I guess now yesterday) and around MM195/Sterling about 1:20 PM? I thought I saw your truck pulling a black enclosed trailer and I looked closer and it sure looked like you driving. How I saw all that while driving, I'm not sure...

I thought that name on the tire cover sounded familiar, so I pulled out the hard drive and did a full search scan for that name, since I couldn't remember the exact coach. It returned nothing, and then I suddenly thought, I think they have a website. So then I did a Google search for them and up that came. Now I have it on my list to get those pics saved to the HD.
How I remember these things, I have no idea...

I just got arround to checking the Sunline forum last night and found photos of my trailer in this thread! One correction, the I was not pulling a "Mit" with the "Dog Cage" on the roof rack of our truck! The brown box is a sound proof generator enclosure for our 2000i Honda generator. I haven't updated my web site for several years but now I'm inspired to add all the latest upgrades (I.E. TiVo, HDTVs etc). We are planning to be at the Good Sam Rally in Syracuse, NY in June 2013 for those who would like to stop by and have a look at "The portable home of Ann & Keech LeClair"! Type you later...
