Staying in Denver PA where was the factory.

I am new to this forum and just have to tell you guys about my sunlines. I live in MI and bought a model 1950 new in 2003 for just me and my wife. We loved it and really apreciated the sunline differance after owning one of those other brands. Our family has since grown and we were sad to hear about sunline closing. So I felt the time was right to upgrade and found a used 03 267 in NJ (also with Ivy Rose interior like our 1950). I just picked it up today and already love it. Well after heading east through PA to get the trailer I wondered where exactly the factory is and if I would pass it. I was on the way back heading west through PA on 76 and my 1 year old was crying, my 4 year old was sleeping and it was around 8pm so I had to stop. I called my wife on the phone to tell her about the trailer and she asked where we were staying. I had to look and the hotel receipt and couldnt belevie it said Denver PA. I told my wife I think thats the city on the sunline brocure. I checked and sure enough it is. So since I'm here I think it would make sense to drive by the old factory and get a picture w my trailer parked in front. Does anybody know where S Muddy Creek Rd in relation to reading road?

Thanks!

you are very very close to the sunline plant, but without knowing exactly where you are staying I can't give you directions, and I don't want to get you lost,If you ask at the desk of the motel you are staying at they should be able to get you right there.if you are traveling today be very careful with this snow we are having.congrats on the sunline

IF you are located at the intersection of the PA Turnpike access road and Reading Rd. (we call it 272 around here) you will head NORTH on 272. Peal off to the right onto Muddy Creek Church Rd. and go a short distance to a church. (that's the green blob on Jon's map) Make a right onto Muddy Creek Rd. and proceed a short distance (1/2 mile?) to the old Sunline factory. The building on the left with the Martin's Construction sign is where Larue's office was The trailers were parked in the big field to the left of that building. The building on the right with the for sale sign was also a Sunline building.

Wow I'm less than 2 miles away, 4 minutes acording to the map program. Probably 10 minutes in this weather. Eitherway I'll have to stop as its on the way back to the Turnpike. If the roads are bad I'll just stop and wait it out. By the way I'm headed to the Ann Arbor Area in Michigan.

Thanks for your help & let me know how to post pictures.

PS I also have an extra 02 & 03 brochure if someone can tell me how to put them in the files section.

I'm not sure if you can make a left onto Lesher Rd. from the turnpike access road. There is a median strip that ends, but I'm not sure if it ends before or after Lesher. You might just want to go up 272 to access Muddy Creek CHurch Rd. It's just as easy anyway.

Thanks for the directions, I pulled in and got a couple of quick pictures. I think it was good closure in a weird way since I never got to tour the factory. While staying at the Quality Hotel in Denver I ran into another couple from northern Vermont that were asking me how long I had my sunline. Turns out they had a model 2499 and didn't realize how close they were to the old factory either. The roads coming back weren't to bad just slushy & wet. I felt really bad towing the trailer through that salty mess. I washed the trailer off as soon as I got back. I'll post some pictures later. Anyway I now have a 2003 1950 (Ivory Rose Int.) for sale that I'll list on the "for sale" part of the forums.

Thanks Again
