Special message to Poppy and Nana...T-2499

I went on line and found a web site showing Poppy and Nana have a T-2499.
I have never met them but I am trying to buy a 06 or 07 T-2499. If they see this, could you contact me if you know of any individual trying to sell one.
I have been contacted by 2 different RV dealer in Pa. who have one each.
Of the 5 Sunlines I have owned, I loved the 2499 the best. I sold it to buy an RV which I hated. I now have settled with cash and a T-1950, 06, when we got rid of the Class C. I had the T-1950 back in 2002-2005. We actually went to Denver, Pa and saw our T-2499 being built on their assembly line. That was so special. When my wife was diagnosed with Alzheimers at age 55. I thought the RV would be the answer, NOT !
We are camping a little in the T-1950, but not enough room for us. I miss the bigger bed and the outside toolbox being a retire shop teacher, that was special.
Thanks for your time. Jim and Cindy Wright 1-315-986-3118

Hi Jim & Cindy,

Yes we own a 2499 and love it - we traded up from a 06 T1950 to our 07 T2499.......sorry but we are not interested in selling it!

Like Kitty said John B has a wonderful 2499 that he is selling - he also traded up to a slide unit!

You can contact him thru this forum.....his 2499 has sooo many mods it is unbelieveable! Drop him a line!

JohnB is on a distinguished road
Hi Jwright

As my sales ladies have mentioned, I do have a 2004 T2499 that needs a new home to a wanting needy camper.

See this post with many pictures of it. And I have lots more. I just have not made it to making up a sales post yet. T2499 Camper

I see you are in the Rochester area. We are not that far away here in central Ohio. DW is from the Buffalo area. My truck and I will be in the Silver Creek NY area June 24 thru 27th. At this moment we where not bringing the T2499 but we could and ready to deliver if it came to this.

I know you said you where looking for a 2006/2007. This camper is a 2004 and is in great shape, clean and sleeping inside my garage waiting for a new home.

If a 2004 has interest to you, please PM me and we can exchange emails to go further into this.

If this is not for you, understood, but we can still help you find what is for you. There is a right camper for everyone.

Hope to hear from you

John

I don't want to scare you, but you will want to read the following thread before researching any '06 and '07 T-2499's:

Of course, if you do a little research on JohnB's maintenance abilities in his posts on the forum , you'll quickly realize his '04 is a great catch

I agree about John's '04 T-2499 being a real find. If we had not purchased the 2499 we now own, I was going to be getting with John about his. And I would not have minded the 12-13 hour drive.

And Mack C-85 is right about the newer Sunline trailers in the same weight class as the 2499. There was a frame issue that some owners had to deal with. The '04 models did NOT have that issue.

Good luck in your search! We certainly agree that the 2499 floorplan is great, especially for the two of us.

JW,

I have a 2006 T-2499. If I knew then what I know now, I would grab John's camper in a heartbeat. Not only will you have a stronger frame ( I had to invest $$$ to beef up mine ) , you also get more cupboard space and a front window in the bedroom. After being part of the family here for the past two years, reading what John does to his camper makes me admire the gentleman. I say go for it.

Even if you get the 2499 or keep your current unit, there is a meet and greet for members here in NY. It is at Southwoods in Byron, not far from Rochester. Check it out in the Meet and Greet section. It would be great to meet you.
