Sold our Sunline 5'er
It is with mixed feelings that I'm here to say we've taken a deposit on our F-293SR. We had several reasons to sell, but the biggest was our need for a coach that offered more sleeping space.
This was my third, and likely, final Sunline. I will miss the brand, the quality, and most importantly the support from such a great group of folks here at Sunlineclub. I'll still be checking the board here, out of habit, at least for a while. We're replacing the Sunline with a Big Horn by Heartland. There are some great features of the Big Horn, yet there are also areas where the quality is not at the Sunline standard I have come to expect.
Best Wishes to all my Sunline friends, may your rigs provide you years of trouble-free service!
Jeff

Congrats Jeff, I just saw some Heartlands at the show tonight and they are pretty nice. Nice choice.
BTW, you are still welcome to come to Gateway.

Congrats Jeff, (I guess) as I'm sure it is sad to see it go. Someone sure is getting a wonderful rig. Haven't been in a Heartland for a while now, but I think they ARE a step above the normal run of the mill rigs. I believe if Gary & I ever have to get another rig we will be looking towards an Excel, probably used so we can afford it .
Keep us posted on your progress and let the new owners know about our group, and you will now become a member of the Sunline "SOB" club

Jeff,
Congrats - on both the new trailer and selling the FW.

Ditto - once a SOC member - always a SOC member
Don't become a stranger and you and your family are always welcome at any M&G.

Thanks, all, for the well wishes. It is certainly sad to see it go. We've not even owned it a year, yet we have plenty of great memories spending time together camping in it. As I negotiated with the new buyer, part of me was hoping he would lowball me or decide not to buy. But it's the best thing for us right now, painful as it is, to move forward with something more appropriate for the family.

Well, tonight I closed the deal with the new owner of the 293SR over a couple drinks. He's a heck of an nice guy and I've told him that Sunlineclub.com is the BEST place to come for answers to all his questions. I'm sure you'll be hearing from him in the future (his name is John).
It's been amazing all the great advice and help I've received on this site. I I've been camping in Sunlines for the last 10 years. Sleeping in another brand coach is going to feel adulterous, for sure!
Jeff
P.S. Maybe I should have warned John (the new owner) how obsessed you guys are that pics are included in any post

If that's the case, I think I'm in some really deep trouble then...
Hopefully he can make it to Gateway too, I really was hoping to see the coach sometime.
Jon
