Small Vac

We are still picking up odds and ends for the camper my GF asked if I would post this question. Who makes a small somewhat powerful Vac for use in the TT something cordless? Any suggestions are welcome!

Thank you as always!!

We use a Dirt Devil: http://www.amazon.com/Dirt-Devil-Cor.../dp/B000050HCV
. It is small, powerful and I don't mind getting on my hands and knees to use it since that gives me time to inspect floors, LOL!

I had a cordless but each time I wanted to use it the battery was close to dead, or dead. Saved me a lot of werk that way since I would only vacuum when we got home and I pulled the "real vacuum" out of the house.

I had a Shark I liked a lot, but it went kaput. These things seem to have a life of a few years (for us anyway). I am back to a $25 B&D Dustbuster. By the way, that little vac is fine, but while using it, it blew air through the vent where the converter is and blew some dust bunnies into the wiring (we had never cleaned up in there) . Sparks, buzzing, snapping and burning electrical smell created lots of excitement. Then a venture out to get a new converter mid-camping trip. So.. clean out that space if you haven't already done so !

Here is what Amazon says about vacs:
Amazon Best Sellers: Best Handheld Vacuums

+1 for corded dirt devil. We can do our entire 28' trailer from the kitchen outlet

I like that the Dirt Devil has a powered brush for carpet and it can convert to use the hose. also, the dirt is captured in a reusable bag so no trips to find bags. and that long cord is really handy.

We have a Dirt Devil, from years ago made in the USA. Yes, it is that old... It looks like this one Jim posted but no hose. It is still going strong, 30 years later....

It looks like these. Note these are used ones. I do not know if that make this model like this anymore
Robot Check

That said, we bought another one that was part of an upright kit. It is sort like a corded Dustbuster, no brush but a crevice tool and a bare floor head. Well... this one is not made in the USA and while it works, the quality while good is not the same as the US made one.

We use both.

The Dirt Devil sounded good to us so I got one on Amazon. This one only was sold with paper bags, not reusable ones. Unless I missed something? Maybe older models had the reusable bags? Not really a big deal, I was just curious.

Our's has a cloth bag. Paper liners were an option and a PIA. We never use the paper bags, just wash and dry the bag occasionally.

Time to eat a little crow here. I said our Dirt Devil had a reusable bag. I was mistaken. It does use paper bags. our reusable bag vac is a old Sears handheld. No problem since bags are cheap enuff. We also have a attachment kit for it that has tubes and different attachments so we can stand while using it. The model of ours is a Royal Appliance Model 08230 Dirt Devil Ultra.

Sorry for the confusion about the bags. I still think the Dirt Devil is the best, small, powerful vacuum for campers.

No problem ! If I hadn't gone back to Amazon to look for the other bag I would not have found the vac is now on sale. You saved me $10 !
