My wife and I were camping in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains and there were about 5 trailers there belonging to this group's members. My wife's a quilter and when one sister set out a sewing machine in front of her 1972 canned ham trailer, she went over to chat. We met most of the group over the next day or two.
These women are independent and don't think twice about heading out for adventure. The folks we met were headed to San Diego to board a ship going to Southeast Asia. I's say their website is accurately portraying the group.
If I were a single woman, I'd join in a N.Y. second.
