Shower Water Pressure

Does anyone have any suggestions for increasing the water pressure in the shower? While the pressure in the sinks is fine, the shower, even when hooked-up to city water, trickles. I am wondering if there is a water saving washer in the shower head?

Thank you!!

This may sound stupid....but are you sure that the shower head is not partially shut off? DD was complaining about using our shower and no pressure and sure enough it was the head partially turned off......

Lucky,

What type of shower head do you have? Some RV shower heads, for some reason, have restrictors in the heads. It's basically a little plastic disk that has a small hole in it. It prevents a large volume of water from coming through the head. Removing this disk will help some, but you can always just get a new head.

Also, if you use a filter for incoming city water, that may restrict the pressure too.

Thanks y'all. I'll have to check for a restricter in the shower head. The shower head is the one that came with the camper. It does have a on/off swivel knob on the head, but I have turned it as far on as I can get it and still no pressure.

I forgot that I had an actual shower head from a '93 2251 that the owners took the shower out. The restrictor here is a little different than the other one I described. I don't know if this is like your head, but it should be pretty similar. Here are some pics of the head and the restrictor:

Jon:

You da' man! I just took the restrictors out of the showers heads, inside and outside. I sold an '04 Airstream Bambi (too small, too expensive) to get my T-2363 and the only thing I was not liking about the camper was the sad shower. I am lookin' forward to being able to rinse off without it taking twenty minutes to do so!

Thanks!

Paul, did you try running the shower without the restrictor? Was the water flow better?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Tried it today using the fresh water tank. 10,000 times better! I do a lot of hiking, biking, cycling (things that end in "ing') and having a satisfying shower afterwards is key. What a relief!

Paul (& everyone else),

Another thing, if you have a SeaLand toilet with a sprayer hose, the nozzle on the hose also has a restrictor. I like to clean up the toilet after I use it, and the previous trickle from the sprayer just didn't clean anything off. With the restrictor out, I get a high pressure spray that's so high pressure the hose vibrates.
