Again thank you for all your input/advice. I'm sticking with the OEM setup.

VDC Electronics This one. I have the remote pigtail plug so I do not have to take the battery cover off. I have about 10 of these, I use them on the tractors, truck, my car, the lawn mower and all the campers.

You can find them cheaper on Amazon, Northern Tool, RV upgrades and other places.

I also have their older ones, before the 1500 series came out. These, they cost less. https://www.batteryminders.com/batte...er-desulfator/

The difference is the 1500 series has auto temperature compensation while the 12117 series does not.

I see Henry J posting again, , I think he has a Ctek one. Not sure which model he has, but this one would be close to the VDC 1500 temperature compensated ones. Ctek is a really good brand too. Nothing against them, I just started out with the VDC and stayed with them. https://smartercharger.com/collectio...s/ctek-mxs-5-0

Here it is on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/CTEK-40-206-5...7727061&sr=8-3

I still have the Ctek and it's been a good somewhat upscale maintainer. I also had good service from several Battery Minders (not as many as JohnB!). I always used them on Sunline parked beside the house, TV we didn't drive in winter and the lawn tractor. Now we're down to just the TV as our daily driver and the Arctic Fox parked on our condo RV lot, not beside the house. I bought the AF with 2-6 volts which are too heavy to remove and bring home so I just turn the kill switch and leave them alone all winter. They are now 7 years old with nary a hiccup and still run the power jack fine in spring at 12.2-12.3V. Then I can park on the street in front of our house for a day and give them a good charge. It's my first experience with 2-6 volts, but I'll likely stay with them when it's time for replacement just for this kind of reliable service. As long as they can sit for 7 mon., through a cold winter, and still be at 12.2V, I know they'll be good for another season.
