Replacing our 2460
Thank you, Sunline Fan
We have always taken pride in our Sunline. The Decals yes are pretty much in tact, which is rare. But otherwise this trailer is a gem. If I did not have health issues we would keep it. The bed is in back corner and barely full size. Climbing in and out of it, is something I cannot do anymore. It has a tub and I need a step in shower. We kept it this summer season because after going to a few trailer shows we were very disappointed. We have decided to maybe look for a newer Sunline (knowing how well they were built). From the layouts we have seen the 2006 - 2363 would work for us, but have only seen one and it had leakage issue. Looked at a 2004 - 2475 yesterday that also had issues. The only thing that was ever wrong with ours is the dometic refrigerator had a recall. Aren't there any 2004, 05, 06 or 07's out there that need a good home? Holler, if anyone knows of any.... Thank You

Ruthie, I do believe the 2363 has a tub/shower - you would have to step up and into it....also the "tub" is 1/2 size as it sit where the wheel well is.....

Correct- it would solve the bed issue, but not the tub issue.

Oh, this model 2363 only has tub option not shower? Hard to get everything you want, and at this point in my life, need in a trailer to be comfortable. We only camp in the spring, summer and fall months so we are hoping over the winter something will turn up that is accommodating to my health issues. Want to thank you everyone here for their input, it is so helpful in narrowing things down. Ruthie

Correct, because the way the floorplan is, the wheel well on that side is located under the tub and bathroom sink cabinet. There isn't room for a fully flat shower.

Going to be a hard find it is appearing, to find a Sunline (used) to meet our needs. The two so far we have seen are 2363 (seen pics of) and 2475 drove down to CT to see were big disappointments. Our Sunny pictured here is 20 years old and has been given lots of TLC over the years. These trailers were built so well all one had to do was general maintanence ie.. husband greased wheels every year, kept wheels and unit covered in winter. Inside, after every trip we cleaned inside and out. I even polished the cabinetry. There has to be a newer Sunny out there that was as gently cared for as ours, that needs a new home. We would like a 2004-2007, one owner unit. I think everyone by now knows what we need. But will list again:
Walk around queen bed, step in shower, unit that is no longer than 25-26 ft. back bumper to tip of tongue, weight no more than 5,000 lbs.
Have looked at some very deceiving pictures of a unit in classifieds here. And drove two hours to look at another unit this past Sat. (good thing we flushed the toilet in this one). ugh...
Wish people who listed their units for sale would be totally up front and honest with what they are selling.
Thanks to the folks here who have given us some good solid feedback. We are very open to this. Ruthie

Have you looked at a 2553? That's in your length range, has a flat shower, island bed, and a similar kitchen to what you're used to now.

No, we have not. Do you know of one we could see pictures of and is close enough to MA that we could go have a look if we liked pics? Thank you Sunline Fan - Ruthie

I'm on my phone right now or else I'd post pics directly here. Here's a link to an '06 in NY, which isn't mint, but it doesn't look terrible either:

Nice looking Sunny!
Just called and spoke to the gentleman who owned it, he sold it in two days. Thank you happytocamp - for posting the link. Appreciate that so many of you are keeping us in mind when you see trailers that may interest us and post the info... Ruthie

The 2553 has a 66" loveseat , not a full sofa. BUT...The 2753 has everything you need but it is 27 feet tip to tip...however the weight is in the 4200# range. I had trouble finding the one I am buying here but I did google some in MA and ME and one in CT. Good luck..hard to find exactly what you want and need--that's why I am on #8!! Janalee

Asking $6,000 or B.O. This trailer is in excellent condition. We just bought a 2006 2553 Classic, just brought it home. Thank You Sunline Fan for your postings that helped us decide on this model. We did not buy the one you linked us to, but another one, we love it! See pics above for our 2460. Any additional info needed, email us. Thank You

We like our 2553. Just watch how you pack it. They tend to be a bit tounge light if you pack allot under the bed, fresh water tank is there also.

WOW! You gotta love a dealer who leaves a spare tire under the dining table while trying to sell a unit.

Hope it didn't leave a mark on the floor like the one we bought. PO left the spare laying on the floor over the carpet and left a mark.

Who was your reply to, because my wife and I are not dealers. The spare tire to our unit is on the back with cover. Again, this trailer is beautiful inside as the day we bought it.

Well for one thing I don't fill water tank, maybe 5 gal. for emergency flushing. Empty hot water tank. That's allot of unnecessary weight behind axle, about 300 lbs. Spare on rear bumper. extra awning on sofa, grill up front by sink, tote of stuff under table, Folding chairs and hoses in side compartment over axle, lounge chairs on bed. tools and extra jack under switchback bench. all lighter stuff under bed. I also use a Sherline scale (good investment) to monitor tongue weight, moving things around to keep 700 lbs. tongue weight. If I but bikes on back something else comes forward. Any other questions, just ask
