Removing Decals

Ok...so my Sunny looks real nice except for the darn decals that are peeling and look awful. I have decided it would look better if I just took the ones that are peeling off. I started to pick at them and got no where and I do not want to scape the paint off. So does anybody know a way to get them off without damaging the paint?

They make a wheel for an electric drill that will take them off it's a 3M product it's kind of like a gum eraser auto parts stores should have them, they do work but work is the key word it is not a fun project. A heat gun works but not nearly as well maybe that method first then the wheel.

If you are talking about the big Sun decal or the Solaris ones, then gentle warming with a hair dryer or a heat gun will soften them up and off they come.

I had to remove my big rear Sun decal and it came right off with a little heat. Be careful to not use too much as the decal gets hot. Use gloves.

Hope this helps

John

If you are talking the long pin strip down the entire length of the camper, the wheel mainah talked about would better for them. They are really pressed and bonded on. I have never used the wheel but others here have.

Thanks john...I think I am going to try the hair dryer first since the pin stripe is in good shape. I just want to get the Sunline decal off the back and the Solaris decals off the side.

Thanks for the advice on the hair dryer...It worked great, decals are off and the sunny looks much better without them.
