????? radio

We just spent 4 days at Otter Lake Camp Ground in the Pocono's of PA. We had a wonderful time and they have all the amenities. We met another Sunline owner who didn't know about the Sunline Club. He said he was going to look into it.

On our site we had TV cable. Can anyone tell me why, when we changed the TV station with the number pad on the clicker, our radio goes on? If I used the up and down keys on the clicker, the radio does not come on.

clueless campers is an unknown quantity at this point
Others have experienced this. There is an easy, very inexpensive fix. Here are some excerpts from a previous post explaining the fix and a picture showing the portal the radio gremlim uses.

On the radio there is a deep purple dot about 1/8 to 3/16” oval. It is on the black band of plastic across the front of the radio. That is for the radio remote. When you flick the TV channels pending brand of TV, the radio does spastic things…. If you put black electrical tape over the purple dot it helps. I never had this problem until I went to digital TV. The old analog set it never bothered it by now….. Sometimes you need 2 or 3 pieces of tape over it.

The black electrical tape helps for sure, but I'm going to have to try this approach as the signal still sneaks thru mine every now and them WAMO the radio turns on almost full blast... just for changing a channel on the TV.

1. Small piece of electrical tape over dot area.
2. Put a small piece of aluminum foil next on top of the tape and dot area.
3. Cover again with small piece of black electrical tape so you do not see it.

Kitty tipped us off to this a while back. Seems those who have gone to the digital TV first seemed to have found this “unique” feature in the radio we never knew even existed or that we ever had a remote for….

Glad to hear you're enjoying your Sunline. Thanks for spreading the word about SOC.
