I truly think it is NY DMV I just received the title for my truck today that I bought to haul the camper home.

Its all good,I went to a site called Bringfido.com and they set me up with hotels along the same itinerary path I had set up for campsites. They made it really easy. Now I can take my time with the camper and get it repaired better

Ouch. I was going to mention something about your other half when you mentioned about not worrying about things....
It doesn't sound like you got taken or anything. I'm pretty sure the previous owner would not have any contact with you if he was doing anything intentionaly sketchy.
That website sounds interesting. We had planned to take the trailer out for 2 weeks around this half of the country in the summer but the combination of fuel costs and owning a prius now have tipped the scales in favor of hotels and friends' houses.
I think one year, we should do a 2 week florida tour with the camper.

The site works for campgrounds also. The first night in Galena OH.It found the same campground I had set up for our first night. The wife just didn't like my grand scheme to save money by RVing down there and now having to do the hotel thing.I don't like spending money unless I can justify it and it rubbed off on her. We've been together for 28 years and going strong,I have learned to let her vent.We all need that once in a while.

Well, I bet she will enjoy it once you get that fixed up and take it out on a proper vacation. nothing like bringing your own clean personalized lodging including a kitchen with you and staying in some amazing environments for a third the cost of a Hotel room.

wow,Ohio to Tennesee was HORRIBLE.Rain all the way.A tandem Fed Ex truck was all tangled up in the guide cables in the meridian and held up traffic for a good 45 minutes. No internet in the Tenn.Motel.We made it to Texarkana at about 4:30.
I saw a sign at the welcome center in Arkansas that stated that it was all right to camp overnight. Is there a database for boondocking? I was on a boondock site a while ago, they wanted Lat and Long to give you the boondock sites available but the area I chose came up blank.
If a database existed it could make it easier to make a itinerary to camp if you were to tired to drive to a campsite.
I did not think that every rest stop along every interstate would allow overnight camping and I would hate to get a knock on the door at 2 am telling me to move along. Is that right or wrong?

That's right.
Best to find a WalMart. Most permit overnighting. Her's a link to a pdf of the ones who don't.

Hope this helps,

Many truck stops allow overnight parking, not camping. Leave the slides in, do not drain tanks on pavement and leave the places better than you found them.
When we stop in what could be unsafe places Wifey is awake while I nap and then she will nap while I drive. Has worked for us even when along city streets.
I have parked in gas station parking lots, after getting permission .
There are many Google results for overnight parking/camping.

You're a wise man, John. Hang on to that philosophy and you'll be happily married for another 29...or more.
