Our Sunline is coming home!

Well the snow is melting quickly now - only piled up where it has been plowed to....I see the sprouts of the daffodils....so spring is in the air in the Adirondacks!

Called over to the storage area and the snow is gone and the road is "pretty" hard, so we are planning on pulling the camper out next Saturday - boy am I a happy camper or what

Plan on using Sunday to load her up and get her ready - I'll be away a good part of May and our first trip is schedule for the 21st - oh I can't wait!

You don't know how much I envy all you people who have blue skies and are using or cleaning your Sunlines right now!

Only one week to go!

Kathy & Leo,

Great, we share in your excitement.

We're slowing getting back into the swing of camping season ourselves.
Getting ready for our 2nd outing.

I've been slowly getting our Sunline ready to go this week.

* Finished painting the A frame, which I had completely stripped last fall.

* Re-installed everything on the A frame - still have to get new pigtails for the propane.

* Put the wheels back on (they stay indoors for the winter) and got it off the jacks and blocks.

* Installed the new Prodigy brake controller and hooked up for a test tow with the new truck.

* Found that even on the lowest setting, the standard drop hitch shank is not tall enough for the new truck.

* Pulled the deep drop shank out of storage, and swapped it.

More to come.

We're also ready to go. Roz made up the bed and loaded all the things we have to take out for the winter while I welded the middle set of scissor jacks on. All the mods are done and tomorrow the coach gets a bath. Next weekend we're gone.

Tweety is getting there. Steve installed the FanTastic Fan, cleaned and touched up the dicor on the roof, sanded and painted the frame and A frame. I used Awsome on the siding, and took care of interior restocking. We're hoping to get in a one nighter next weekend after his annual "hike with the guys from work" is over. If that doesn't work we'll be waiting until Mother's Day weekend

I think all of us have spring fever. My daughter sent me an e-mail today about her desire to go camping. By the end of the afternoon, I had made reservations for our first trip on May 2nd to Calendonia State Park in southcentral PA. Surprisingly, all of the "pet sites" in Codorus State Park had already been reserved and there were only 5 sites available in Caledonia by the time I called! Either there are a lot of pre-season campers with pets or the campgrounds are going to be very crowded this summer.

We got out to a local KOA (about 5 miles away) for an overnighter on the 19th, great check out everything worked ! Our first "real" trip is to Old Mill Stream the first weekend in May. Yeah, it was great to sit around the camp fire and just chill, even if we were only a "stone's throw" from home Now, if we could just find a hole in the Cub Scout/Brownie schedule, we might sneak another trip in

Camping season is HERE!

We just returned from 7 days at Myrtle Beach. It was a great trip after I got over my concern of towing that far. Traveled at around 60 MPH and really enjoyed the ride. I didn't enjoy the gas prices but that's the way it is! We seen a few Sunlines on 81 and 95 but only 2 at Myrtle Beach Travel Park. It's great to be camping again after winter.

We had the trailer out last week-end. Had a few issues to take care of before the first trip though. Had the converter replaced, trailer inspected, and I replaced a pex fitting off of the water heater that had started to drip. I also put on 3 maxxair vent covers and a new set of gutter extenders. I still need to sand and repaint the pin box, steps, and my rear rack, oh she still needs a bath too. It's all worth it though.

I'll check things out on Sunny tomorrow, install the pressure pro tire monitors, load some people & dog food and will be on the road friday afternoon. Headed to Round Top campground in Gettysburg, PA to attend the "Greyhounds in Gettysburg" weekend. Got a great list of vendors attending, so I bet KD will get something new Sunny not too dirty, and has only been sitting for about a month, so not a lot of preparing needs to be done. Having the RV Port is wonderful. Then I need to get to painting the fame and other spring things.
