Old Sunline sightings
Stopped at K-Mart and there in the parking lot was an old Sunline 5th wheel and F-250 for sale, asking $6000 for both. Left K-mart and just up the road was an older Sunline truck camper sitting in someones yard, not sure if it was for sale or not. While sitting at the stoplight, an SUV pulls up behind us pulling an old single axle Sunline. Kind of weird seeing all those old Sunlines in less than a 1/2 mile.

Wow Mike, that sounds like a steal seeing a Sunline 5er and a F-250 both for only $6000!

I think I just saw a 12-footer...
I drove past the local trailer service shop, one of the last mom-and-pop trailer service shops in the area, and parked out front was what looked to be a 12.5 footer from the 1980 brochure. I was hurrying home from chemo, so couldn't stop in, but I'm going to try to get back there today if I start feeling better. If not, I'm going to call and ask them if they could snap me a picture.
It's got the 12.5's tandem axle and door more towards the front, and the same orange-tones exterior color scheme that my Sunspot has.

I spotted an old Sunline truck camper while pedaling my a** off earlier this week. It was on a back road near Grove City. It had a For Sale sign on it.

I belong to a vintage trailer yahoo group, and we're talking about the Tin Can Tourists fall rally, which is going to be in Sampson State Park:
"For those that haven't heard, the Tin Can Tourists will be holding 'The First Annual Fingerlakes Fall Can/Am Rally' at Sampson State Campground on the shores of Seneca Lake in Romulus New York on September 11th through the 14th. Plans include a Thursday chili cook-off, Friday night pizza party with live music, and an on-site pig roast and dish to pass supper with more music on Saturday. All sites have 30 amp electric with bath houses and good clean showers located at each loop. A beautiful state park with great access to the largest of the Fingerlakes"
I mentioned that if I'm off chemo, I will definitely try to make it down with the Sunspot, and if not, I'll at least drive over for the day, since Sampson is only about an hour from me on back roads. And another Sunspot owner came out of the woods to answer my post--he's got an '82. I gave him this site address, so he may be dropping in soon.

We saw a really nice looking old Sunline at Cabella's today. From the window configuration it looked like a 1450. It was being towed by a jacked up BIG truck. I think it looked even funnier than when we towed the QUE with the Beast. Unfortunately no one was home when we pulled in or out of the lot.
