Oddessy Brake Controller

Anybody have thoughts on this type of brake controller? I had a different brand in my last TV.

Thank you!

dkasten39828 is an unknown quantity at this point
I had to check to be sure this controller is a "proportional" type... it is.

From my limited experience, that's a better type to have than the older "timing" type. Both the brake controllers I've owned have been the proportional type. Tekonsha makes both the Voyager (my first) and the Prodigy (my current). I've had nothing but good luck with them both.

I would recommend sticking with the proportional controllers. Look for one that works proportionally in REVERSE as well as forward. Look for one that doesn't require leveling (or at least not much). Look for units that will handle multiple axles. All those features will make your towing experiences more comfortable.

No clue on the Oddyssey brand, but I am very happy with our Tekonsha Primus controller. Much like the Prodigy, but you set the level yourself (pretty much point the big arrow lever on the passenger side at the floor) and go for it. Saves a few bucks over the Prodigy (also by Tekonsha) but gives me more options of levelling (which I prefer).

Thanks everyone. I went with the Odyssey, proportional, works in reserve and will handle up to four axles.

Can't wait to hook up my rig and give it a try!
