New to the club and I have a few questions
Hi everyone
I'm new to the club and just bought my first camper. It's an 1982 Sunline tandem axle camper and that's about all I know....lol. Where and how can I find info on this camper (size, weight, model etc...). It has B78-13 trailer tires on it, does anyone know if I can use 13 car tires? I'm not going to be going far with it this year and the tires that are on it are dry rotted and I'm on a budget. Also it has a few wiring/light issues I need to fix and didn't know where I could find wiring diagrams for it?
Sorry for all the questions, Thanks for the help
Roy in Massachusetts

Hi Roy,
Welcome to Sunline Owners Club and congrats on your new coach!
No worries on the questions, we are a Happy Group of Campers here and we will answer questions here on line just like at the campground next to ya. So ask away.
Now to your questions.
See the "File" words (tab) on the top of the forum screen. That tab is a hot link to a bunch of Sunline goodies. Here is a hot link to it. Sunline Coach Owner's Club - Sunline Owner's Files
One of this links opens up actual Sunline sales brochures. Just scroll down to 1982 and down load a brochure. Then by the floot plan back into what model you have. If you still have questions, post some pics of the camper outside and inside and we can help you figure it out. I have not yet seen a Sunline that our Sunline Fan cannot figure out what year and model it is.
Tires, yes by the size you listed they need to be changed.... You where lucky you made it home with them. On the trailer of your size, ST trailer tires are needed. P tires for cars are not made for the side stress the tandem axles can give. And once you get them, using white tires covers, keep them covered when stored to slow down the sun weather cracking. Also air them up to max cold side wall pressure and check every time you tow.
Wiring diagram. Well we have 1 wiring diagram. It is for a 2004 T2499 and it is in the files section under the electrical section. Your 82 may be to old that it does not totally apply but it is a start. What is the problem you are having? We may be able to better point your where to go hunting for the issue.
Hope this helps
John
PS. We also have a FAQ forum with many questions and answers to common camper questions. This may be helpful. See here Sunline Owners Club FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) - Sunline Coach Owner's Club

Welcome Roy, I've been a member of this forum for a very short time. I bought my Sunline 1850 TT in July. The folks on this forum are responsive, helpful and attentive. Just ask away. Enjoy!, Kit

Thank You all for the warm welcome!
After looking through the files I was able to figure out that I have a 17.5ft RD. I also solved the light problem I was haveing, none of my interior lights were working. My power inverter has burnt up, So for now I running the lights of a Battery while I save for a new inverter. I replace all the wood in the door and repaired the door frame so now the door shuts very nice. Today's projects are replacing the trailer hitch on our Suburban, installing a trailer brake controller, checking/repairing clearance, tail lights, and brakes!
Thank you for all the Help!

Yes, perhaps I do. I tried to attach it to the message but it was too big. I also failed at posting it to my Photo album. The Files folder accepted it, but maybe it has to be checked out before it is available to the member. Perhaps a Moderator will sort this out for us. If someone wants the wiring diagram 8.5MB PDF let me know and I will email it to you directly - Mark
As a side note, Our first Sunline purchased new at a camper show was a 1981 17.5 ID# 6506 from CampAmerica Inc. Nashua NH.

Mark,
Thank you very much for uploading this. And yes, uploaded files need to go through moderator review before they are available to download. This review protects us from spammers uploading not wanted material.
The file is now available
Sunline Coach Owner's Club - Sunline Owner's Files - 1982 Era Wiring Diagram
Thanks to Mark we now have qty 2: Sunline wiring diagrams. Spanning 1982... to 2004
Thanks
John
