New to me 2001 T195O Solaris

I purchased a new to me T-1950 and will be camping this weekend. This may be a dumb question, but I can’t figure out how to turn the couch/daybed into a bed. When I pull it out, the table attached to the front wall is in the way. Do I need to completely remove the table so the couch/sofa will lay flat? Thanks!

Congrats on your new Sunny! The T1950 is a popular floor plan. Sunline made a lot of them over the years.

Yes, the table must be folded down against the front wall for the jackknife sofa to come out. The RV lingo calls the couch/day bed a Jackknife sofa.

To fold down the table against the front wall, take the table leaf out in the middle if it is installed. The leaf is stored inside the top cabinet between the fridge and the bath vanity sink. A white strap with a snap in the cabinet would keep the leaf from flopping down. On my 2004 T1950, the strap is on the sink side of the cabinet. I assume 2001 is made like the 2004 model, and no one has modified yours. If the words do not fit your camper, post some pics, and we can help better.

Once the table is closed up with no leaf in it, look under the table at the single steel leg at the outermost end of the table. That leg will fold up flat to the table, and then the entire table will pivot down and store against the front wall. Assuming you still have the original Sunline table leg, there is a hoop of sorts at the top of the leg by the table that, if you pull down on it, the hoop unlatches the leg holding plate to fold flat with the table.

Now, to get the jackknife sofa to pull out and be flat like a bed. Once the table is out of the way, lift up on the long seat cushion frame with two hands and pull away from the couch( towards the entry door). The folding mechanism will start to flop down the couch flat. This is hard to explain in words; it works not too hard once you get the hang of it. And reverse the process to turn it back into a couch.

Maybe they changed it in later models, but in my 1999, the table can simply be slid toward the door in order to open the couch. Not necessary to fold it down.

It is a bit tight if you have the original swivel rocker between the table and door, but still doable.

I've got a 2001 T-1950 as well. I can't figure out how to slide the table over. Maybe it's just stuck from not using the sliding frame....

And as to the couch....I found the wooden box enclosed battery fuses just under the couch and air duct. I can get to it by lifting up the sofa seat part way and squeezing my shoulder and head in. The other option is crawling part way into the side cubby...not sure which way is better as they're both a struggle!

The way that table is fastened, it's possible to partially disengage it and sorta kinda jam things up if you don't handle it properly. I had to deal with that when we first got ours. Not that big of a deal, but it did require unfastening/refastening the strip it's attached to.

As for that wooden fusebox... yeah, it's a pain to get to either way. Pretty sure the "proper" method is to completely empty out that storage cubby and go in that way, but the time or two I've had occasion to access it, I went under the sofa rather than deal with clearing out all the stuff I have in there.

My table slid easily to the right by just grasping the both sides of the table and moving it to the right. You must have something blocking the track that prevents it from sliding.
