New T2363 owner

Hi, we just took delivery of our T2363 and love it. Upon closer inspection
after we got it home my husband found that the drip rail on one side was
damaged. While checking on that he noticed the side was dented just
above the bathroom window. The sales people we bought it from said just tow it back and they will take care of it. But, how can we tell if the
window is water tight? It's too cold here to bring out a hose just yet.
Any ideas. thanks

Lulu

Hi Lulu,

Is your window itself thats damaged or is it just the siding? If its the window, its hard to tell if it would leak water unless you actually take it out and can see daylight in the damaged spot. If its in the siding, you could fill it with some sort of kitchen/bath or exterior silicone for a temporary fix until the weather gets warmer and you can take it back to the dealer. The only way to fix dents in the aluminum is to replace the panel. The aluminum skin is used by most manufacturers, so it should be available even though Sunline is out of business (at least for now!!!). Hopefully the dealer you bought it from would be willing to replace the panel and not just patch it somehow.

Jon

Our 2051 developed a leak around the front, curbside window this summer. Our dealer, Stoltzfus RV, removed and resealed the window. They tested it for leaks in their shop. Your dealer should be able to do the same to assure you that it is waterproof.

LuLu,
Congratulations on the 2363. We love ours, it is a great floor plan. I think the newer 2363 has eliminated the window at the head of the bed. I really think that that is a great idea as the window gets in the way of my sleeping. As always Sunline did a little improvements as they went along, listening to customers comments. Sure am going to miss that company. I do hope that the dealer gets you fixed up OK. Just pay attention to that area of the bathroom in the future to assure no leakage.
Wishing you happy miles ahead with your new coach.
Regards,
MM
