Ford recalling 1.2 million 2004 - 2006 Ford F-150's for unexpected airbag deployment.

Dropped ours at dealer for other repair to be done in morning. When they call with findings and estimate, I'll ask about this. There are enough things to watch for when towing - don't need an airbag exploding in my face!

I posted here because I felt it was important and some members may not check the tow vehicle forum unless they had a question about towing/hitches.

Thanks! I saw that on the news last night and thought of the group here. Hope it doesn't extend to the 2008 models. That bang in the face can be dangerous.

I know a police officer that had the airbag on his Ford police car explode while driving at about 45 MPH. Hit nothing but it broke his arm. He was afraid to drive for a long time.
